Home Depot

Ordered door from Home Depot. Home Depot gave me a discount, I had to pay the restocking fee. They made me pay for returning the door even though it was really their fault. They did extend additional discounts toward the actual door to make up for that. The door itself had a retail value of I think $900 but I think i paid like $600 or something. It took a long time I ordered the door in September I didn't actually get the door until December so that was a long wait, and that was Home Depot's fault. They actually ordered the wrong door more than twice, maybe three times so that's bad. I don't know why I had to pay the restocking fee at all because to be honest with you. They think they were good because they offered me a big discount off the final door but it was really aggravating that I didn't meet the deadline of having a door set up for the fall. once I paid a restocking fee, I can't remember if they gave me a credit for the restocking fee they may have,because it was a long process that went out over several months. It seemed like whatever they offered, it wasn't satisfying, it wasn't enough. The fact that I had to go through this.They were very understanding when the mistake happened. A lot of times I'd call there and the person wasn't there the staff would make you go through that exact person. Nobody in the store could help me except that one person so if they were off or left earl or came in late I was out of luck. between that, trying to track them down and then get the order, it was one mistake after another. I mean they would correct their errors and offer credits and things like that, but still the experience was very shattering. It was very emotionally disturbing because I was so ready to get done with it and the contractor was like forget Home Depot go to Lowes! By that time I was like well I don't have a credit line at Lowes I have it at Home depot. I've already started let me just finish this up I like the door they're offering me. It's a good quality manufacture which is a great benefactor.

My son had used them before, and so I went with him. He was going to do it, so he picked the location. They had an older gentleman who knew the equipment, and who explained it well. He showed how the equipment works, and they were good.

It was horrible. It went fine except that they measured one counter incorrectly so I was in dispute for them for awhile. I may never resolve it so I actually didn’t get a completed job. It was really bad. I had to go to the credit card company to get a new thing. I had to put a hold on it. It could have gotten much worst. Price was fair.

The first dishwasher I had broke. LG could not get parts for it because they did not make it anymore so they gave me a new dishwasher. That dishwasher then broke, they came in to repair it and it still does not work. It was not repaired properly. I was not happy with the appliance or the service from LG. I also have a front load washer and dryer. The washer is working as it should but the dryer is making an unbelievable noise. It is not working properly. I am not happy with the appliances overall.

It worked out well with Home Depot.

I would recommend them.

I specifically asked Home Depot if they used subcontractors and they said no.  When the workers arrived, they had a truck without a logo on it and they let me know they were subcontracted by Home Depot.  During the work, my wallet was in the drawer inside my home.  I noticed $60.00 missing and I believe this company stole it from me!  My wife’s gold bracelet, necklace, and my gold jewelry were stolen!  Home Depot lied about this being a subcontracted company and they took advantage of me! The windows look o.k., but nobody should steal from anyone else! 

We had used other designers in the past but had heard positive things about Home Depot's design service. We went to them and they were just fabulous. Most stores have 1 or 2 designers but this super store has 6. We asked for the senior designer and he is Bill Noble. We have only had 1 meeting but we are certain Bill is going to give us a great design. I am not sure if you have to buy from them, but the design service is free. We intend to buy from them. I would recommend to others to make sure the person is professional. We feel we got the creme de la creme with Bill. I called and were fortunate to get an appointment the next day, otherwise it would have been 10 days. You can schedule with the design service online. Once you meet with them you set your own schedule with your designer. We met with Bill on Tuesday, had a person come out and do detailed measurements on Thursday and will have more detailed designs from Bill at our next meeting next Thursday. Home Depot has their own subcontractors. I will get a bid from them for the actual installation, as well as my own contractors I have used in the past. I believe they only do kitchen and bath designing.

The designer of our project quit and Home Depot never assigned another to handle our account. Measurer sent to confirm measurements got them wrong. Contractor (Bill Ray) sent someone to do what we were told was a complicated sheetrocking job, with premium charge, who didn't do sheetrocking. After spending four days on a two day job, he left the corner bowed and uneven instead of straight and squared. Spoke to Mike Ritter at Home Depot who promised to take care of any problems. Called him four days later and he swore he had never spoken to me before and asked why I was bothering him while he was taking inventory. Mountain Electric did electrical work in an outstanding and professional manner and also provided someone to fix the wall that the original contractor had messed up. Home Depot in Union is no place to go for remodeling work. Virtually no one there, certainly not the management of the kitchen department, cares at all about the business, their customers or doing a good job.

I WAS REAL HAPPY WITH THE HIGH QUALITY OF THE WORK AND THEIR PUNCTUAL ARRIVAL, BUT I THOUGHT THAT IT WAS RATHER EXPENSIVE. I WAS ALSO DISAPPOINTED ABOUT HOW LONG IT TOOK THEM TO COME OUT TO OUR HOME TO GET THE CARPET INSTALLED.

THE DOORS LOOK GOOD BUT, THE WHOLE PROCESS WAS TERRIBLE. THE PRICE WAS HIGH. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS BAD. THEY NEVER KEPT ANY SCHEDULED APPOINTMENTS. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND USING THEM.

HOME DEPOT IS VERY PROFESSIONAL, POLITE, AND HAVE GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. THEY DO NOT MIND ANSWERING ANY QUESTIONS THAT THEIR CUSTOMER MIGHT HAVE. I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM TO OTHERS.

HOME DEPOT DID A GREAT JOB AT A GREAT PRICE. THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE WITH THEM WAS GREAT. WE WOULD DEFINITELY USE THEM AGAIN FOR ANOTHER JOB AND RECOMMEND THEM FOR OTHERS TO USE.

WE ALWAYS USE THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE VERY PROFESSIONAL. THEY HAVE A GOOD PRICE. THEY ALWAYS STAY FOCUSED ON THEIR JOB. THEY NEVER LEAVE UNTIL THE WORK IS FINISHED.

THE INSTALLERS SENT BY HOME DEPOT WERE NOT GOOD. THEY DID NOT FINISH THE ENDS OF THE CARPET. WE HAD TO CALL THEM BACK TO DO SOME REPAIRS ON WHAT THEY INSTALLED. IT TOOK SEVERAL PHONE CALLS BEFORE THEY CAME BACK. WE WERE ALSO SHORT OF CARPET.

THE GUY THAT CAME TO DO THE PRESENTATION WAS VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE. THEY GAVE US A LOT OF OPTIONS. I LISTENED TO ANOTHER COMPANY THAT WAS NEAR US AND THEIR PRICES WERE A LOT HIGHER.

WE CHOSE THE CARPET AT HOME DEPOT. IT WAS THE ONLY PLACE WE LOOKED AT. THE SERVICE WAS GENERIC. THEY CAME OUT TO MEASURE AND AFTER INSTALLATION, WE NOTICED YOU CAN SEE THE SEAMS, WHEN YOU SHOULDN'T BE ABLE TO. I NEED TO CALL THEM TO FIX IT.

IT WAS OKAY. THEY CAME ON TIME, WHEN THEY WERE SUPPOSE TO. THEY CLEANED UP THEIR MESS. THEY ARE A PRETTY GOOD COMPANY. I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM TO OTHERS.

I WAS PLEASED WITH THE WORK THAT THIS COMPANY DID FOR US. THEY WERE VERY EFFICIENT IN WHAT THEY DID AND THEY EVEN HAULED AWAY THE OLD CARPET. I NEVER RATE ANYONE PERFECTLY, BUT THIS COMPANY DID PRETTY GOOD. THEY WERE A SOLID 'B'.

OVERALL, IT WAS A GOOD EXPERIENCE. I GUESS I REALLY DON'T HAVE ANYTHING TO COMPARE THIS TO, BUT THEY SEEMED TO HAVE DONE A GOOD JOB AND SHOWED UP WHEN THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO. THE ROOF LOOKS FINE AND HAS NO LEAKS.

EVERYTHING WAS GREAT. THEY GAVE ME A FREE QUOTE. THERE WERE NO SURPRISES WITH THE PRICE. THEY WERE VERY PUNCTUAL. THEY WERE ALSO VERY NEAT. THE CONTRACTOR WAS REALLY ON TOP OF THINGS.

THEY DID A VERY GOOD JOB IN ALL RESPECTS. THEY WERE EFFICIENT AND PROFESSIONAL IN THEIR JOB. THEY CLEANED UP AFTER THE JOB WAS FINISHED. THEY DIDN'T DO A PERFECT JOB, BUT THEY DID REALLY GOOD.

THEY WERE VERY HELPFUL WHILE I WAS PICKING THE CARPET OUT. THEY MADE SURE THAT I GOT WHAT I WANTED AT A GOOD PRICE. THEY WERE DONE INSTALLING THE CARPET IN A TIMELY MANNER. THEY CLEANED UP AFTER THEY WERE DONE. I AM GOING TO USE THEM AGAIN.

MY OVERALL EXPERIENCE WAS GOOD. THEY SHOWED UP ON TIME AND WERE VERY COURTEOUS AND CLEAN. I HAD TO CALL THEM BACK A FEW TIMES SO THEY COULD ADJUST SOME OF THE DOORS AFTER SETTLING.

MY OVERALL EXPERIENCE WAS OK. THE GUYS SHOWED UP ON TIME, BUT NONE OF THEM SPOKE ENGLISH, WHICH MADE IT VERY DIFFICULT FOR US TO COMMUNICATE. BUT THEY WERE VERY FRIENDLY, AND THE CLEAN UP WAS GREAT; THEY EVEN VACUUMED BEFORE THEY LEFT. I WOULD RECOMMEND THAT THEY HAVE AT LEAST 1 PERSON THAT SPEAKS ENGLISH.
