Excavation
This company damaged my property during their third day of work and refuses to take responsibility for their mistake. Responsible...NOT, honest...NOT, decent...NOT, reliable...NOT. If this is the kind of company you want, you are in luck. If you want a company who stands behind their work to take responsibility for their mistakes this is not the one...starting at the top. This is a company that would rather make you spend money to take them to court rather than own up to their mistakes. BUYER BEWARE!!!

Hillcrest Paving and Excavating was contracted to repave our roads in Brandywyne Condominium Complex. They started work on this project the week of July 26, 2016. The needed water from a fire hydrant, which they are not supposed to use. They broke the fire hydrant and refused to take any responsibility for that incident to date. In the process of starting the excavating, Hillcrest got cement on my car and let it sit in 90 degree weather without notifying me of what had happened. The cement stained the paint on my car which I just purchased in January, 2016. If that wasn't enough damage, they used a jackhammer 10 feet from my driveway where my car was parked. They asphalt hit my car and scratched and dented it. I immediately notified our property manager with pictures and a video to receive a letter from another company, Falcon Engineering, who was supposed to supervise the project. They had the audacity to send me a letter stating that they completed their investigation and find "It does not see likely the work efforts caused the type and extent of the damage to the existing car." despite the fact that I have pictures of the damages that are date stamped, pictures of the workers that are date stamped, a video that is date stamped and two different estimates stating what the damages are. The thorough investigation performed by Falcon did not include any contact with me, a visit to my driveway or where the work was performed and even look at the damage done to my car. After half a dozen calls, emails and left messages, to the President of Hillcrest, Jerry Giordano, the email I received not even from the president but an office manager that all they want to do is detail my car that cannot be detailed but needs to be repainted. They are willing to have someone come to my house and have them detail my car in my driveway but are not admitting any responsibility. This is the most blatant negligence with all the clear and convincing evidence, yet they refuse any liability. They want to force me to go through my insurance company, pay for the deductible which I may or may not get back and a raise in my car insurance rates.
