City View Contractors

This is a team of three that does all the work.  They work quickly.  We had some issues with the building department about the drawings for the deck, but John went with me, put up with my freak-outs, and we finally got approved deck plans and required permits.  They built a raised deck off the kitchen, which is the second level in the back so good concrete-sunk supporting posts were needed.  They purchased and used the cellular PVC decking that I chose.  John designed the deck to use my existing garage stairs which saved time and money on building stairs.  He repaired the falling-apart garage steps and installed bluestone on them.
In my first-floor bathroom, they took out the old vanity and the toilet, ripped out the ceiling and replaced it, and  installed a new light/fan and venting to the outside (which wasn't there before).  They took out an old medicine cabinet and sheetrocked the wall, then installed a new medicine cabinet and light fixture (provided by me).  They demolished the old tile floor and installed octagon-and-dot tile which needed custom cuts in many places -- very detailed work.  They replaced the existing toilet and installed a new washstand purchased by me.  They painted the room.
They replaced six internior doors and trimmed them out nicely.  When the pre-hung doors they bought were not the right size for the jamb, I had them take the doors off and they fitted them to the existing jambs.  They installed new doorknobs and painted the doors.  One of the doors was an odd size and they ordered a custom door to fit.
They also replaced a stair railing.
Pedro and Marcello were very prompt.  They were considerate of our two cats to make sure that they didn't escape.  They cleaned up the site every day.  John accepted my proposed payment schedule, which we adjusted along the way only once.  It took some doing to get the liability insurance documentation, but John did finally provide it.  The work site was kept very clean.  John deals with unexpected things very well and calmly.  This is not the cheapest contractor in the world, but you get the same people showing up every day (no day laborers), their work is impeccable and immaculate.  I was very pleased with how the project turned out and the daily progress made.
