Basement Remodel
$6,000
It went terrible. He made a huge mess. He didn't take precautions to keep mold from dispersing. He released spores into the air and we had to hire a mold remediation company. He left messes everywhere and he damaged part of our property. His framing was crooked, not up to code, incomplete and inadequate. We've now had to hire another company to try and fix what they can. We've had at least three contractors come and see the framing he did and they all said it was terrible work. Also, per our contract he was supposed to do the floor and he refuses to come back and finish the job. He was also supposed to put in doors which I'm paying someone else to do.
Response from C Construction
"Everything stated by [member name removed] is totally the opposite of who I am and what was done. If my craftsmanship was poor and wasn't up to code, then why was I rehired for a second time after completing her bathroom renovation? Second, why did everything pass inspection? I don't know but if u ask me there is something wrong there. On top of all this the amount of work that we performed way exceeded $6000. For example, basemen demolition $2000, cinder block mold remediation three applications $450, vanity removal and re-installation $400, bathroom wall removal caused by mold $200 and the list can continue. All the problems started when I asked [member name removed] for partial payment of the add-on and she refused. She is by far one of the worst and ungrateful clients I've ever had. My work history speaks for itself. I have numerous clients that will speak on behalf. I wish Angie's List would let contractors like myself the opportunity to post pictures so homeowners can judge for themselves."
