ANIMAL CLINIC-UNION CITY

Our pet had ear mites and was examined and treated at Union City Animal Clinic. We like that the location is close to our home. The Veterinarian is very friendly and I am happy with the services and care provided. They are very easy to get and appointment with and run on time. They also take walk-in appointments if you are willing to wait, they will not turn anyone away. The cost for services is competitive, but costly. I do not like that they try to sell items to us that I do not feel we need.

. She found one dog had infected ears and explained this was because this dog, a cockerpoo, had long floppy ears. She told us to put cotton in her ears when bathing her. She checked this dogs anal sacs and pressed out some of the contends and explained how to do this at home. She looked at the mouth and found some tartar buildup, but said it wasn't bad and we could wait until February when they had a 10% of special on dental work. She showed us how to brush her teeth because we said we couldn't get to her back teeth. As a Registered Nurse who did a lot of patient teaching I was really impressed with the amount of teaching she did and how she made complex things sound simple and easy to do. Dr. Zalis reminded me of a good pediatrician. Nice since a lot of us treat our dogs like children and love them almost as much. Dr. Zalis seemed comfortable dealing with my youngest dog, a 21 pound bully who bites when I groom him. She put on a muzzle and treated him carefully but with respect and kindness. This lady loves animals! We had all three tested for heart worm and they were all negative. She was able to draw blood and keep him calm. My third and oldest dog, a ten pound Malti Poo, she said had very bad teeth and needed dental work ASAP. She showed me his inflamed gums. By now I was too impressed with the quality of care to complain about price and I said "Lets do it! She insisted on giving me an estimate however and it was much lower than I had expected . Dr. Zalis was also willing to let me order medication from an on line pharmacy rather than buy it from her. My previous vet had refused and had huge mark up on medications so I was very impressed by this. I can save a lot on heart worm preventatives by ordering on line. This is a good place for pet medical care and affordable. Worth the drive to union city. Tomorrow I am taking the bus to have my 10 pound dog in to have his teeth cleaned.

It went very well and they are great. They are very attentive and very communicative. They are very gentle and they care a lot about the animals. They know what they are doing and they are very professional. I will continue to use them.

I moved, and I still use them! I referred them to a friend who has cats, and she said he is much cheaper than her old vet! The ASPCA uses them. We have other friends and family that use him, too. Dr. Kim is very loving and kind to the animals. He is always trying to save you money by trying the least invasive options first. You never have to wait very long, even without an appointment. He is very reasonably priced. When I had my dog fixed, he discovered and corrected a hernia, without any additional cost.

I have used the Union City Animal Clinic for quite some time. Their staff is caring and thorough in their care of the animals and they are pleasant to the owners as well. There were no surprises during the visit and I've never had a complaint in how the animals or we have been treated. I recommend them.

THIS COMPANY WAS GREAT. THE DOCTOR WAS EXCELLENT. HE IS VERY FRIENDLY WITH THE ANIMALS. ALL OF THE STAFF MEMBERS ARE VERY POLITE AND I HAVE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH ANYTHING. THEY HAVE BEEN WONDERFUL AND VERY CARING.

THEIR PRICES ARE REALLY GOOD. THEY ARE KIND TO ANIMALS. IF YOU WANT YOUR PET TO BE ALL OUT LOVED THEN THIS IS THE PLACE. THEY ARE KIND AND THEY GET THE PET CURED AND READY TO GET OUT FAST. I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM.
