"Thank you so much for the kind review. In a couple of weeks, I'll reach out to you to schedule a time to swing by to paint the pressure-treated lumber as the moisture content should be low enough. All the best to you and [Consumer Name Removed]!"

"In response to Emily's comment above, I will agree with Emily that the tile was sub par at best. I recently had a new hire at the time and it was his first project without supervision. I can tell you that through experience, it's very difficult at finding employees that you want to retain. In respect to the tile, the walls were very small and cut up and by cut up I mean, there were a lot of shelves and such that had to be tilted around. the tile chosen for the walls were small do it was difficult for anyone to have laid the tile out so that there weren't slivers in some areas. I should have recommended a larger tile a that would have worke"
"I have been in business for over 25 years and sometimes, no matter how hard you try to please someone it will never suffice. This particular homeowner, a very nice older gentleman (reminded me very much of my grandfather) hired me to remove (2) windows in his bedroom and (1) window in his bath. He wanted them replaced with a window that was rated high in the ability to block out sound. I consulted with my window rep and after some research, we found Ply Gem made a window with high acoustical ratings. We installed the windows after a long lead time of waiting for the windows to come in. However, the windows were installed and the customer was happy and I collected $900 (the total amount charged for the installation). These windows were 25 feet in the air and the siding had to be removed and replaced as these were new construction windows and not your typical replacement windows. After six months the homeowner called and said they were drafty. A winter season had passed so I couldn't understand why all of a sudden now in the month of June there were drafts. Nonetheless, I stopped over and realized the window sashes within the frame had a lot of play. This would have been a manufacturing issue but after having a rep from Ply Gem assess the situation, they did not want to stand behind their product. It is the first and last time I will be using Ply Gem products. The only way you can install a window improperly is if you shim too much causing the window to be too tight and not go up or down smoothly. However in this instance, the sashes were loose within the frame and the frames are vinyl, welded solid in the corners. If the sash is loose within the frame, there is nothing any installer can do to fix this. This problem only existed in the bedroom windows, the bathroom window seemed to be fine. I take great pride in the care that I give to every client and every job to make sure the project turns out great and my client is happy. In this case, I revisited the job, called my window rep to schedule a site visit with the window manufacturer rep, (I had asked the rep to let me know when he would be on site so I could meet him there but I was never contacted and a determination was made without my presence.) This gentleman even called the Division of Consumer Affairs to complain. In all my years, I never had a complaint. I took the necessary steps to deal with the DCA and based upon the steps I took to make this client happy from my end, there was no action taken against my company."
