Villella & Son Painting

This was the worst experience I’ve ever been through with a contractor. I found Michael sleeping on my grass and in my driveway numerous times. Sloppy work. Came inside to paint the door and got paint all over my hardwood floors never cleaned it up paint on my kitchen table never clean that up. Unfinished work. And then wants a check. We have to go around and touch up everything that was done. Took over one month to finish and still not finished.

Mike and Caesar were punctual, considerate, courteous, helpful and most of all professional in completing the entire interior painting of my house. Mike has been painting for 35 years and is very knowledgeable about technical details. Mike was so nice- he offered to do some extra work that was not included in the estimate, at no cost . From the first phone call for the estimate to the last day of painting, I knew I made the right choice with Villella Painting. If you want the best quality at the right price, choose Villella Painting. I look forward to rehiring Mike to paint the exterior of my house.

Mike and Jon were great. They gave me an estimate really quickly and after getting a few more, theirs was right in the middle. It took me longer to get on their schedule than I would've liked, but that's just because they're so booked. Well worth the wait, though. Professional, courteous, friendly, and they did excellent work. Would definitely hire them again!

Michael did a great job on providing the cost quote. He came to the house on time and throughly checked the house. He thought for the customers' interests and promised to finish the project in fewer days. When leaving, he said that an estimation would be provided that night. Then, at 11 pm, I got his price quote. Among 4 quotes I got, his is the lowest one.

Everything took a day and a half to complete. I had a water leak above my living room which would have meant the popcorn ceiling in my living and dining rooms would have to be painted. They were able to match the paint and only cover the water leak which saved me time and money. They did a fantastic job painted and did a great job cleaning up after themselves. They were very quick and efficient. I would definitely hire them again for any painting I needed done.

Villella & Son did an absolutely stunning job on 180 year old Princeton house. We are thrilled. Mike guided us thru different color choices with the eye of an artist. The quality was outstanding. I used Villella for a previous project and was equally pleased with this work. I got good advice about choosing paint, including repainting tile around the fireplace. It transformed the room. The work was started and done on schedule and everything was cleaned up neatly.

They were professional and courteous, The majority of the work went well. It has been about six week and I have had to repaint portions of the foundation. The foundation needed to be sanded before painting and was not done so it has started to chip.

John, Mike, and Cesar were all great to work with and did a beautiful job helping to transform a house into my own home. After the move itself, they touched up smudges and dings from the movers. Due to scheduling problems with the company I hired to do new flooring, Mike and Cesar had to work with/around the floor installers - but no problem and everything came out just beautifully. I had booked the work with John months ago, and when the time came to paint I had changes to the order. John was very accommodating and did everything I asked, including some dry wall work. I love the way the house look! I will use them again for additional work down the road. Thanks, John, Mike, and Cesar!

Worth the wait!. We had contracted with Villella and Son painting a few months ago and was told it would take some time to get to our project simply because of jobs in line ahead of us. They just finished our house today and we couldn't be happier! It looks great! John, Mike and Cesar were fantastic. Old school craftsman that take pride in their work......a rarity today. They responded promptly to all phone calls. They came when they said they would. They were very easy to work with and their work is of excellent quality. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Michael (the owner) and his assistant Caesar spent four and a half days painting most of the interior of our house. They were punctual, professional, polite and did a very nice job. We are very pleased with the results and would definitely recommend them to others. Their price was very competitive.

This is the third job John and Michael have done for us. They are always quick to return a phone call, responsive to our scheduling needs, and professional in their approach. The work fast and to a high standard. This particular job included a number of cracks and breaks that needed to be repaired with fiber tape and spackling. Michael sealed everything up smoothly, and the rooms look great.

It went great. John, Mike, and crew are terrific to work with. They have a great eye for color and are always open to making suggestions on how to approach a particular issue/problem. They always go the extra mile.

Highly recommend. Responsive, clean, superb job. The father does the estimates and bids, the son and his crew do the painting. Just the one crew headed by the son, so you know what you will get. The son is a starving artist who paints houses to pay the bills. It shows in his attention to detail.

John Villella showed up very promptly when we requested an estimate, which he provided very quickly as a fully documented written proposal. The estimate was very reasonable and included an Angie's list discount. Better yet, they were able to start immediately. The family room presented challenges, as it has lots of woodwork (shutters, ceiling beams, fireplace) but the crew persevered. As a plus, they would partially restore some furniture there so that we could use the room to watch TV. The hallway color required several coats but they made sure the coverage was complete. John's son Michael was invaluable for his advice on color and coverage. The additional crew (Cesar and another John) were completely industrious, friendly and very respectful of our home and furnishings. They showed up on time every morning, even on one VERY snowy morning. In summary, Villella & Son Painting Co. did a good job at a great price: highly recommended!

John and Michael are very good, reliable, and professional. They provided a prompt and reasonable estimate, began the job on the date promised, worked according to schedule, and returned twice on follow-up when we noticed a few spots that needed repainting. All in all a good experience, would use them again.

Very professional. On time. Fair price. I should note that John was a little higher that another estimate I had been given and John agreed to match the other price. He and his son Mike both personally took an active part of the work along with two well experienced helpers. Mike saw a couple of patches that required sanding and patching and fixed that as well. I would recommend John and Mike without hesitation.

The exterior of our house and detached garage is wood clapboard. The last paint job was 5 years ago and the paint started to peel within 6 months. I had concerns about spending the money to have it painted again. I explained my concerns to John and his son and they assured me that this was due to the poor workmanship. First they started by making sure everything on my property was well protected. We had just had new hardscaping done around the house and I was concerned there would be paint on the stones. They started the prepwork by scraping all the loose paint, which was a very tedious job. Next they power washed the house. They noticed that my white fence was looking a bit green from mildew/algae, so they cleaned that up for me too since they had the power washer out. Next they place these spacers in the clapboard so the wood could breath. The windows and doors were caulked; I have 33 windows and 4 doors. Everything was primed and then painted with 2 coats of white paint. When everything was done it looked amazing! They even painted my metal handrails. The team was professional, timely and neat. If they said they were going to be there at 8, they were they at 8. Once they started the job they were they every day. The only time they were not working on my house was when it rained. Can?t control the weather. Every day they would lay down the protection around the property and every night they removed it. They keep their work area very clean so when I came home from work I had some sense of order. I was so pleased that I add on getting my screened in porch painted. It worked out well for the days that it rained. We made it though the hot simmer and no peeling paint. John told me that if the painted started to peel I should call him, but it won?t. The next time I call him will be for interior work. Thank you for a great job!

This was a first-class job from start to finish. Mike Villella and his team showed up on schedule and set to work, with a clear plan for how they would approach the prep work and painting for each room. They were extremely careful about protecting our furniture, wood floors, light fixtures, and door/window hardware. Most important, when they were finished and called us over for a walk-through, the cottage looked spectacular! White walls and ceilings and contrasting trim work, all flawlessly painted. These guys are masters at cutting in! We've used Villella & Son Painting on several occasions for exterior paint jobs and have always been very pleased with their work. Now they are also our go-to guys for interior painting.

John, Michael and their team did a phenomenal job as promised. They made our rooms look great. They were neat and clean and the best part - they return calls and show up when they say they will be here. I will definitely be hiring them again.

Came 3 mornings in a row to patch kitchen ceiling since it was a deep patch on the final day did outside work and finished ceiling did excellent work, very clean and cleaned up after themselves all 3 days
