Tashjian's Oriental Rug Service

I returned to Tashjian with these carpets after a good experience several years earlier when the owner candidly told me that the area rug I brought him was not worth the investment of a cleaning and he explained why. This time he carefully inspected the carpets, identified carpet beetle damage in one, and discussed my expectations for the stains. Days later when I picked them up, he had the carpets laid out under a strong light for my inspection. The work was excellent. Through sequential treatments he had eliminated the pet stains and reduced the cranberry stain to the point where it blends in with the pattern and you have to know it was there in order to see it. I am delighted with the work and would absolutely use Tashjian again. Cost of service cited is from memory.

The rug had been in my husband's family for about 75 years or so and it's been taken to theTashjians from time to time . By the time we had it in our home it was rather worn in spots.
The owner, Wes felt that while it had some wear it was in good shape. So I went ahead and had the rug cut into thirds, cleaned and bound. He went on to suggest that my in-laws could consider having the rug made into pillows,etc. if it didn't work for them as a runner. They were thrilled to have a part of the old home in their new homes. I have highly recommend Wes to family and friends, he's very honest and I feel that his rates are within reason. It's also a family owned business of many years.

I'm happy so far with the service that they have provided, but I do not have my rug back yet. We have used them in the past and they do excellent work.
