The correct categories were not available to me for this work. The project was radon mitigation. Benedict hit the ball out of the park with removing the radon issue in our home! He was prompt, courteous, and efficient, with every facet of the project. The levels dropped dramatically immediately after he turned on the fan, and improved even more over 48 hours. Benedict showed up 40 minutes earlier than the scheduled time. He installed a two-pipe system in my basement in under 5 hours. My radon levels went from 4.0-7.0 to 0.7! He got all the permit application paperwork done and all I had to do was drop it off and schedule the inspection. I highly recommend Radon Shield, LLC.

Radon Shield was hired after I got a higher then expected reading for radon in by home when selling it. Benedict shared a lot of great advice about radon gas in the home, he was able to schedule the install in a very fast time frame which was extremely helpful because I was selling my home. The quality of work was outstanding and he did a great job explaining thing to me and by wife. He also did a great job cleaning up after the install. I would hire Radon Shield in the future in needed.

The service was a Radon Remediation System...not listed above. Benedict and his brother were GREAT. I needed it to sell my home and they drive 90 miles and come out in just a couple days. The work involves boring through your basement floor, piping up and out of the house and up above the roof line with a fan and pressure gauge installed. I was apprehensive but trusted their "get right to it" attitude and the finished project is neat, clean and sealed in all necessary areas. Long term exposure to Radon can potentially cause cancer. The home tested as high as 5.2 (4.0 is bad) and after the system was installed another test read 0.3...virtually none. They were easy to deal with by phone, text and email and while I am unhappy that I had to spend the money, I feel it was WELL SPENT. I highly recommend them to resolve such a "mysterious " issue.

My home was recently tested for radon, and needed remediation. I'm glad I gave Radon Shield a call! Benedict was able to come by within the week to take a look. He walked me through the challenges, and we were able to figure out where to put the system in a manner that followed regulations and was still fairly unobtrusive. He had given me an estimate over the phone, so there were no surprises when the time came. They installed the system on the spot. My large and cluttered basement wasn't the easiest to work with, but Benedict and his team were able to handle it professionally and cleanly in the span of about 5 hours. With the system they installed, they brought the radon level down from 5.6 to 0.8. I wish I had tested for radon again a few years ago and installed this system sooner. I think they even left the basement cleaner than when they started! Thanks again!

Radon Shield did a wonderful job with radon remediation in our basement - our level was below 4.0 but we wanted it even lower. Benedict and his team worked efficiently and carefully, and our radon level is now 0.3 upon repeat testing after fan installation. He was professional, transparent and honest in his assessment of the situation and planned work. Since we were under time pressure due to a pending sale, he went the extra mile to complete the work promptly and succeeded at the first attempt. Overall, he helped us save money over the extra work proposed by the first company. Strongly recommended.

Radon Shield modified an inadequate radon remediation system that was installed by another contractor in 2016. This system was giving me radon readings routinely in the range of 3.5-5.5 pCi/L and as high as 7.7. Benedict from Radon Shield modified the existing system, added a second pump and additional vacuum ports, sealed what needed to be sealed, and the result is that my readings are now in the range of 0.4-1.0. Benedict really knows his stuff and stands behind his work. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing a radon remediation system or having problems with an existing one.

I had a radon inspection done as part of my home buying process and the original test had a reading of 10 pCi/L. I contacted Radon Shield and they set up an appointment for me within a week. When Benedict and his team arrived they were confronted with the 2.5' thick stone walls of the farmhouse that I am purchasing, and rather than force a surcharge upon my bill for the extra effort to drill through the stone, we spent 3 hours searching for alternatives of how to install the system. Benedict was extremely helpful and courteous, and in the end we found a way to install the system without needing to drill through the stone. The re-test came back at a reading of 1.4 pCi/L. Thank you very much to Benedict and his team for making my new home safe, and at a very reasonable price!

Benedict was very professional in his approach. When he realized that I had not informed HOA about the work, he did mention that we better inform and get an approval, which at the end turned out was not required. He waited on the day of work till i got the approval from HOA before starting the work. Highly recommend him.

We can't say enough good things about Benedict and his Radon Shield teammate. Working against a demanding timeline to accommodate the closing date on our home sale, they did a thorough evaluation to develop the best option for system installation. The location and design was cleared in advance with City officials to expedite the permit process and post completion inspection. The quote we received was based on the onsite evaluation before the work was authorized. There were no surprises. The post remediation independent test lab measurement came in at 0.2. The aesthetics of the external work were excellent.

Save yourself a lot of time and money and go straight to Radon Shield. They are the best and most knowledgeable!!! Benedict was very responsive and thorough. He did an extensive investigation before any work was done therefore, after 15 years of high radon levels and three radon companies Benedict finally found the root of the problems. He educates you as the client in a practical easy to understand way. He identified how the original pipe was installed up against the side of the foundation preventing proper suction. Additionally, he showed me how only a small part of the basement was addressed lacking a complete system for the entire room. I went from a 12 to a .08. HE IS AMAZING!!! TEN STARS!!!

Benedict is easy to work with, friendly, and honest. He made sure I fully understood all my options and the work that was being done. He was very thorough and took my radon levels from a 5 to close to 0. I highly recommend him. In fact, I am going to hire him to do another job for me very soon.
