Contractor was punctual and work was performed in accordance with schedule. He also had great suggestions on design and helped us make choices that we are very happy with. We were pleased with the subcontractors on the job. Challenges: 1. Electric was not priced correctly in original estimate. We ended up dealing directly with the subcontracted electrician and paid a few thousand more than expected. 2. Recessed lighting was not spaced properly. After electric was done, sheet rock, and paint, we noticed. This resulted in a repair to our new Sheetrock that we can still see. 3. Trim and crown molding was done by contractor's inexperienced staff. Corners did not align, and there were many areas we brought to his attention. Some were fixed, but others are still obvious. 4. They caulked the line where the cabinets meet the ceiling. This cracked within a few months of completion. 5. There was a lot of glass and nails outside that we cleaned up after the job was done. 6. During the job, if they found themselves without a tool, they took the liberty of using ours without notice. We learned of this when we came home and found my husband's things among theirs. 7. In certain lighting, the screws/nails holding in the sheet rock are very noticeable. We have counted over 40 of them, mostly in the ceiling and some on the walls. I later contacted Plummer Construction with the intention of getting things resolved. We also presented the possibility of another renovation in our home, which we feel was significantly overpriced - maybe a "go away price?" Needless to say, neither has happened.
Description of Work: Renovate kitchen and sunroom. We went down to studs in both rooms. New windows, cabinets, floor, appliance installation were all a part of this project.
