We have known Pete from Pete's Custom Carpentry for years. He has worked for my family for a long time, so when it was time for our bathroom remodel we didn't hesitate having him  come give us a quote. For diligent purposes , we did get two more quotes from reputable contractors.  All three quote's were close but Pete's quote was more detailed on how the money was being spent. He had allowances for tile, plumbing fixtures , shower doors, etc. With that he said we could track the cost of the job in case we deviated from the initial layout, which we did,lol.. We changed from sliding shower doors to frameless glass doors and upgraded to a  granite vanity. Pete showed us on the contract the allowance for those items and just added the difference of the upgrade. That was refreshing to us because we hear of bad experiences with contractors when there is an extra of how the guy totally changes the price much much higher. But not Pete. Our bathroom is wonderful we love the workmanship and design.
