We had to wait for them to order the correct size. They are not very knowledgeable or professional. We spent all winter with windows that did not fit! I will never used this company again.

We chose Home Depot At-Home Services on the basis of a recommendation from a neighbor and all the promises made by the enthusiastic salesman. We purchased the top-of-the-line windows. Do I like the windows that were put in? Yes. Did the sub-contractors do a good job? Yes. Do I think we paid too much? Yes. One of the salesman's promises was that our neighbors would receive a $100 Home Depot gift card for the referral. Well, it's been several months, and I have followed up many, many times, both with the salesman and the general manager of At Home Services, but still no gift card for the neighbors. The general manager did contact Atlanta and thought it was all taken care of, but the card never arrived. In my last message to the manager, I gave him three weeks to get the gift certificate to my neighbors; otherwise, I would post on Angie's List. He never returned that call nor did the gift card ever arrive. That incident is just representative of the lousy customer service I received and of Home Depot's inability to manage things properly for the customer. The project manager was most unprofessional in some of the things he said when he took the window measurements. The contractors were supposed show up at a certain time......they were late by over an hour and the PM gave me some baloney about traffic. I told him that would have worked great 15 years ago, but everyone has cell phones nows--they just could have called me. The whole process dragged on and on, partly due to the weather(which I understand they cannot control) but also due to the fact that 19 windows came in almond and 1 in white.....one had to be reordered. The salesman promised how attentive, etc. the PM would be on follow-ups, but that was not the case. It was all on me. We thought we were paying a premium for buying service, but the whole thing was just one headache after another. We did not use them for the next job, needless to say.

We passed the window order on June 11, 2007, and were told the project will take about 6 weeks. Couple of weeks later a Home Depot representative came home to measure all windows before placing the order, they said they prefer to measure themselves to avoid errors with the order. We were told that once the windows were ready it will take maximum 2 days for the installation. We got the installation date for July. They came with the windows, and alas! Half of the windows had the wrong measurements! The grids for the windows were wrong for 4 of them. The story repeated two more times, wrong measurement, wrong color. Finally, on February 1st, 2008, they could complete the order and installation, all wrong color were put right and all missing grids were put in place. The windows are nice, the installation crew was efficient and polite, BUT the project management was horrible and the error with the windows were unacceptable. A 6 week project was completed in 7 months! What a frustration!

I think Home Depot did a pretty good job. I went there because they guaranteed the windows for a lifetime. They did come on time and did the work very quickly and efficiently. I thought the price was too high, though.

THEY KEPT THEIR APPOINTMENTS, DID THE WORK PROFESSIONALLY, AND CLEANED UP AFTER FINISHING THE JOB. WELL DONE.

THEY DID A GOOD JOB, AND IT IS COVERED BY A LIFETIME WARRANTY. BUT I HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO GET THEM TO COME OUT FOR REPAIRS OF THE LOCKING MECHANISM ON THE WINDOWS.

I WAS NOT SATISFIED WITH THIS COMPANIES SERVICE, BOTH FROM A WORKMANSHIP AND RESPONSIVENESS STANDPOINT. THE QUALITY OF THE WINDOWS WE BOUGHT ARE EXCELLENT, THOUGH NOT A NAME BRAND. WE WERE SOLD WHEN THE SALESMAN SAID THAT THEY WOULD STAND BEHIND THEIR WORK, WHICH THEY HAVE NOT DONE. I AM WAITING FOR THEM TO REPLACE A DEFECTIVE WINDOW (FOR OVER 8 MONTHS) AND THEY STILL HAVE NOT FINISHED THE LAST BIT OF WORK (8 MONTHS LATER).
