Overall, our experience was quite positive. The owner, Sajawal Khan, provided us with a detailed breakdown of all costs, so we could determine what work--if any--to do ourselves and to compare to other estimates we received. The estimate arrived via email--as requested--the next day.
The team of two workers moved and covered all the furniture and cleaned up at the end of each day. The wallpaper in one room came off relatively easily, while that in the other bedroom was more challenging and time consuming. Once the paper was removed and the walls prepped, the work in the bedrooms went smoothly. As a result the entire job, which was estimated to take one-and-a-half to two days, took almost four.
We ran into a minor problem in the hallway when the paint was not matched correctly by the retailer. I happened to notice that the new paint was significantly darker/redder than the original. This could have been a major problem because it did not match the color of the other walls in the entry hall. I immediately stopped work and ran to the retailer who correctly mixed another batch of paint. Had I not noticed the difference in color as they began painting, this could have been a major problem.
During the course of the work, we noticed some additional painting needed to be done around a bay window that was not included in the estimate. This was done at no additional charge.
We have had major interior housepainting work done in the past and we were perfectly satisfied with the quality, but the price point was much higher. I would rate the overall value of Global Pro's service given the price very good!
