This was quite a project.  We contacted about a dozen contractors with some replying quickly and others very slowly. The first showed up the next day with a verbal ball park of $18,000 to $20,000 and he was the first to get back to us with a bid of $62,000.  Serveral others were in the $25,000 to $50,000 + range for cedar and 5 to 10,000 more for synthetic. there were 2 we almost went withbut finally Mr Flesch showed up and , even though his co was not on Angies list I checked some other references and my gut told me this guy knew his job did high level work fabricating all the copper himself and left the jobsite clean. It took longer then anticipated due to more rain but his original estimate of a week and a half with good weather was realistic and would have been met if the weather cooperated. He bid was what we paid

Flesch will  be back in the spring to do our barn and I highly recommend him although he is not the cheapest.
