This was a debacle from the beginning. Once Mr. Singleton came to our home and reviewed the contracts with us, he took a check from us for $30,000. That was after we gave him a check for $3000 to cover design fees for what he told us would be a 3D computerized view of our project (this never took place, we only have 2D CAD renditions of the projects). Immediately after writing the check, Mr. Singleton took the only copy of the contract, and was not able to be reached for more than a week. Eventually, we were told the company got a new phone system, and they apologized for the inconvenience. After that, we received promises of work, production schedules that delineated the work schedule, and no work completed. Eventually, the basement project began. We were told that we would be able to have a Super Bowl party. Today, the basement is 95% completed. Howard is nowhere to be found and we were never able to have that Super Bowl party. Howard has at times called my husband to offer sob stories of injuries that he has suffered. He has delivered some goods to our home, many of which are not products that we ordered. This has been a horrible experience from start to finish. I even called the tile store where I spent two hours selecting tiles with one of the workers, and the store manager told me they never placed the order. Moreover, I called the city to see about the permits that needed to be filed for our projects and learned that these were never filed by Howard Singleton. He has told me on more than one occasion that he has filed the permits, but never offers proof. The latest lies that we have been told are that he has restructured his company with a new CFO. He held a meeting with my husband and me where he described his plan for completing the work. That was three months ago, and no more work has been completed. We have asked him to give us the items we ordered that he claims have been in his showroom for months, but haven't been cataloged in. We still have not received these items. It's pretty sad, as the work that was completed is outstanding. We really don't understand what Mr. Singleton's issue is. He still calls periodically with a new lie to tell us and no follow up. At this point, we'd be happy to leave with the items we ordered and settling for a reimbursement of some of our funds.
