When the truck arrived - she is lovely and sweet - and introduced herself asking me to fill out a brief one page questionnaire about my kitty which information she took after she performed the services. She did ask if my kitty had allergies or any other special needs.
The truck unfortunately drove onto my front lawn and the driver backed out and pulled in again. I was never introduced to the driver, a man, and apparently later I learned he did assist in the grooming.
I carried my kitty to the truck and it reeked like a bad kennel. Now I can fully understand that it's difficult to groom allot of animals in one small space but it did make me question the hygiene. Cecilia explained that they were late due to two large dogs they had to groom which job was a bit more than expected. I can suspect that if animals are stressed due to the process, they will secrete enzymes which other animals will detect. My cat began hissing fiercely which she doesn't do but again I can understand. I turned my kitty over to Cecilia.
About 35 minutes later Cecilia sweetly returned my kitty to me telling me that my kitty didn't like the water or the blow dryer - which I was not surprised by. Again, Cecilia was lovely and I paid the $65.00.
Then I inspected my kitty and it looked like she hadn't even been washed. Her fur was perfectly dry but shedding badly. Perhaps a comb should have been used and not a brush if that was what was used. I took her grooming comb and the fur clearly had not been combed through which a long haired cat needs to have done. Big clumps came out which is what I was hoping the groomers would be attending to but obviously had not.
So as far as the and quot;brushingand quot; and quot;groomingand quot; which she needed done, that was a failure for me. In fact the fur around her rump was in worse condition than when I turned her over. Again, maybe she had an accident due to stress while being groomed but nothing was said to me, and I observed her using her kitty litter prior to the grooming appointment.
So for me - this grooming visit was a failure and I will not use the service again. Perhaps dogs might have better experiences.
