Catherine Bobbs Piano Studio

My kids loved Mrs. Bobbs and her two twins daughters. Her family was always so kind to our family and it was a shame to see her leave Houston. But I’m sure piano students in NY would be very lucky to be taught by her.

I must say that Mrs Bobbs is a wonderful piano teacher and we have been lucky to find her. Mrs. Bobbs is a very kind, fun, and patient teacher. She is very compassionate about her work and students. Mrs. Bobbs’ teaching methods are very good and easy to understand, as well as suitable for people with many varying experience levels, from beginner to advanced. She has surely made piano a very interesting hobby in the kids' life. Mrs. Bobbs is a very unique teacher that you only find once in a lifetime. All my kids have missed her very much since her move to New York.

Mrs. Bobb is an awesome piano teacher. She is very motivated to make sure the students know exactly what she is teaching. She is very patient to the young students. I could tell that the students improved very quickly. She teaches piano techniques, and dedicates her time to have workshops on music theory. My daughter thinks she is the best teacher!

Mrs. Bobbs is an outstanding teacher. She has been teaching piano for many years and knows what works and what doesn't. She prepares the students for various competitions including jazz, classical and state competitions and organizes a few rehearsals a year for her own studio. She makes an effort to include tidbits of music history in the lessons, and is good about emphasizing theory as well as technique. She is also very personable and develops a good rapport with the kids. Highly recommended.

She challenged them and brought out the best of their abilities. They learned to perform alone in competitions and excelled under her guidance and teaching. Her lessons were very organized. And she provided a variety of pieces from Bach to contemporary. Everything was built on a solid foundation of music theory. She always had a good rapport with my sons during the lessons. They were very comfortable with her. We were very sorry to have her move away.

Mrs. Bobbs is a phenomenally skilled piano teacher. Both my kids have been with her for the last three years. They have both acquired much skill and confidence through Mrs. Bobbs' direction. They have both excelled in recitals and local competition. We all love her and would recommend her to anyone.

Mrs. Bobbs was my 5 year-old daughter's first piano teacher. She is just wonderful. Her outstanding achievements as a pianist, teacher and mother have touched so many aspects of our lives and continue to inspire us to always work harder while keeping our smiles. She is firm yet very patient. She talks softly yet assertively. Students of all age group simply love her. She goes out of her way to provide the students exposure to and prepare them for different music events, competitions, even though they all incur additional financial expenses on her part. Mrs. Bobbs has many students and her schedule is always very busy, yet she manages to always stay extremely well organized and punctual. She has over 40 years of experience teaching piano and you can easily tell. It saddens us that Mrs. Bobbs has to relocate for personal reason but I will give her my highest recommendation! Your kids will love her and you will never go wrong with Mrs. Bobbs!

Catherine is an excellent piano teacher! She taught two of my children from the beginning (age 7) and they learned so much in three years. She understands children and education!

Catherine Bobbs is a wonderful teacher, very patient, kind and thorough. She was the whole package - a true love for music which she installed in her students.

Catherine is an amazing piano teacher she is extremely passionate about what she does and is very dedicated to her students. we miss / her.

As a piano teacher she is the BEST out there. She is able to relate with children of any age. She has an amazing memory when it comes to remembering what each of her students are working on...in addition to her being a Master pianist herself. She is not only the BEST teacher in any subject my children have taken...she is the BEST teacher even when I compare her to all of my instructors in any subject throughout my life.
There are many great pianists in the world...there are pianists who can groom great pianists...but rarely will you find a person that encourages the love of music in your children while teaching all of us to be better in all that we do. I have no words to express how in awe I am of this wonderful teacher. We were all heartbroken when she had to leave our city. If Houston doesn't want her, we will gladly take her back up here in Cleveland! :-)

It's been amazing. They've been her students since 2005. She is extremely disciplined, but she has a way of making classical piano fun for the kids. She's never cancelled a piano lesson on me. If I have to cancel she swtiches her schedule around to make sure we get our lessons in.
