Service Provider Response
MNT Roofing & Siding was hired by Mrs. (member name removed) to perform roofing and gutter work on her property. We completed the work as specified in the proposal. Soon after the work was completed, Mrs.(member name removed), unbeknownst to us, hired another company to clean her gutters. At this time, the company performed a water test and told Mrs. (member name removed) that the gutters were not pitched correctly. When doing our work, we had explained to Mrs. (member name removed) that she may have issues because of her decorative molding and the fascia board, but she did not wish to replace the fascia. However, once she alerted us to the issue that the other company had found, we promptly returned to the property to fix the pitch as best as possible. We were then informed again that she still had issues at which point we sent our workers back to check the pitch. We then told her again it was pitched as much as it could be due to the fact she did not change the fascia board. We were never informed of any more gutter issues until Mrs. (member name removed) included the information about the miter in her review. Had we been contacted regarded continued pooling issues, we would have returned to Mrs. (member name removed)’s property as many times as necessary to resolve the issue, free of charge. As for the crack in the ceiling, we were contacted about this issue six weeks after we completed our week. No proof was provided that this crack was not present before we worked for Mrs. (member name removed), nor was there any indication that the crack could have only been caused by our work. However, we did agree to inspect that issue for Mrs. (member name removed). We discussed the fact that we were extremely busy at the time, and both agreed that we would look at the issue at a later date. Mrs. (member name removed) never followed back up with us to schedule a time to take a look prior to the review. Finally, the first time we were notified about any squirrel intrusion after we did the aluminum around the eaves was in the review she posted. She never brought it to our attention in any email or text message correspondence we had with her. If she did bring it to our attention we would have definitely came back tot the house to assess the situation. We believe that we handled our work for Mrs. (member name removed) with both professionalism and correctness. With any job, there is the possibility that corrections will need to be made due to unforeseen issues, and MNT Roofing & Siding is always committed to resolving these issues for homeowners. However, when we are not alerted of problems in a timely manner, or at all, it becomes difficult for us to provide the level of service that we are committed to. We stand by the work that we did in this case, and therefore do not believe we should be pressured into providing a refund for the sake of removing a negative review. We would prefer to let our future clients determine for themselves the quality of our work based on the hundreds of positive reviews we do have rather than admitting to wrongdoing that we do not believe actually occurred.Angi Certified

Roy got his start over 25 years ago as a member of the local Masons Union. He quickly rose through the ranks demonstrating his abilities as a craftsman as a masonry contractor. Although working in the Union was both rewarding and a decent living, Roy wanted to work on more creative projects. Such projects were not presented to him through his local union shop. Eventually his creative spirit won over his practical side, and he left the Union behind to strike out on his own as a small business owner. Roy and his clients quickly realized his ability as an old world mason with an eye for detail. Targia strives to attain old-world craftsmanship through the application of new-world methods, implementing both technology and technique to meet the client’s needs. In this, the foundation of our philosophy is born “The most important foundation we build is the relationships with our clients”. His ability to manage projects and to over deliver time and time again, is how Roy Targia Masonry and Custom Outdoor Living has been able to build a thriving masonry business in New Jersey.
