"Thank you for your interest in JT Home Construction, LLC, and for posting a review so that this matter came to my attention. Based on this review and one posted previously this month, I contacted my phone company to confirm whether there was a problem with our telephone lines as I do not have your number listed in my phone log. My phone company confirmed that there is nothing wrong with the phone line, and I now question whether you called the correct business. In light of this inquiry, I have discussed this issue with Angie's List, and am working with them to verify with you that you did, in fact, contact my business and/or post the negative review for the correct business owner. As a prospective local customer for me, I would have eagerly responded to your request for an estimate. I would have hoped (and expected) that you would have tried to contact me again via telephone or via email before posting a negative review after one missed call. That being said, I welcome the opportunity for you to consider JT Home Construction, LLC, again in the future so that you can post a review based on my services, rather than based on an unfortunate, unintentional missed return call. Thank you."
"Unfortunately on the date I was scheduled to meet with the customer, I experienced an unexpected personal emergency and was unable to neither attend the scheduled meeting with the customer, nor contact the customer by phone or email to advise of the cancellation. Before I had an opportunity to contact the customer to explain the unforeseen circumstances, the customer had already posted a negative report to Angie's List, describing his version of what he believed was the reason for my cancellation - namely, a lack of interest in his business. Notwithstanding the fact that the customer's explanation for my cancellation was completely erroneous, in an effort to apologize for any inconvenience to the customer and to reschedule the appointment for later that week, I telephoned the customer to discuss the situation further. However, I did not receive a return call. While I can understand the customer's frustration, I would have appreciated the courtesy of a return call in order to explain that the reason for my cancellation and the delay in contacting the customer following the cancellation was due to unforeseen and unfortunate circumstances - not due to a lack of interest in the customer's business as is alleged in his complaint. While I always strive to put my business first, sometimes, in life, there are other situations that require immediate attention and concern, and I would hope and expect that most people would understand that. It is unfortunate I was unable to work with this customer on this job, but hope that the customer's needs are met by another qualified professional in my industry to his satisfaction."
