Good he did the work well

He arrived as scheduled and promptly identifed and fixed the problem. He organized, orderly, and neat. we used him once before (before I was on Angie's List) and were very pleased with the service.

I initially met Tom in the parking lot of my YMCA. We had several plumbers work in our home. One, a father and son crew we enjoyed and seemed to do good work. But, one day when we had a problem their phone was disconnected and obviously they were no longer to be found. Another plumbing company which was family owned was fine when the family members came, but they usually sent an employee who clearly HATED his job and wasn't interested in doing the job properly. He was also always unhappy.
Tom on the other hand gave me his cell phone and email and we conducted the problem solving and price quote through email where I sent photos of our problems and he followed up with a price quote (he asked me my preference his coming to the house to give a quote or doing it over email. I chose email). Initially it was slightly difficult to get an appointment, however TOM SHOWED UP WHEN HE SAID HE WOULD! That's at least 50-percent of the equation when trying to get people to work in the home. When Tom came to do the work he did troubleshooting, and was not able to finish the job the first day. We arranged another day and again he came when he said he would. He did all the work with care and was professional and thoughtful throughout his time working on the jobs.

I use them often. Do be patient if they have an emergency. You may have to wait a day or so for service, or even get a call they need to postpone if you are able. But someday, you will be the emergency, and you will be first priority, so that is fair to me.

Took several days to even get a call back. First person that was here managed to leave one toilet completely unusable while we waited for parts. (We had to shut off the water supply because it was running full force and non-stop.) Seemed like things were fixed by the time the second person was here, but shortly thereafter, both toilets are in need of repair again.

I should make it clear that we have used Winch for a decade and always been happy with them, even recommending them to others. Our last two experiences with them, however, have been much less than positive causing us to question whether they are still interested in residential work. (Asked this question directly, they insist they are.) It is with real regret that we will seek plumbing services elsewhere in the future.

The experience was good. It was a long process because we had to get estimates and other things done before they could install the actual unit, but it was fine. It went as well as it could have.
