I live in the New York area. U HAUL quoted me online and over the phone for 2 U Boxes for around $2,400 about a month ago. When I called back today to sign up the price had gone up to $4,400. I have never written a bad review in my life but I'm not sure how it is justified that a company can nearly double their price in 1 month. It is bad business to rip off customers. Today a supervisor named Richard said he would listen to my recorded call from a month ago. I'm not sure why this would be necessary. They would know their pricing that I was previously quoted to me, and the gouging that is currently taking place. It's awful to set one expectation and for a customer and then crush them with a 45% increase in price a month later. Not okay U Haul. I haven't heard from Richard. I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else.
