He was butcher, just charged me $500.00, then he over charged the system by three pounds with Freon. It worked for about two days, then stopped working. He did not put measuring gadgets on it to troubleshoot to see what was going on.

The gentleman who answered the phone was extremely helpful and gave me a few things to check into. He also said that he would ask around about a solution and call back, but that never happened.

Went well. I called and gave them the tenant's phone number. Tenant called later and said AC was working.

I didn't really get a chance to see him working on it, so I'm not sure if his estimate was accurate. He was prompt and on-time, but I still don't have a working air conditioner. I would probably use someone else next time for a second opinion.

After finding that our unit was not cooling on a Friday afternoon, we placed a call and within a couple of hours a repairman was at our home. What a relief on an above 90 degree day. He was very polite and went right to work examining the entire unit. After checking the condenser in the attic he asked my husband if he could go up and look at what he discovered. There it was, a very old filter was frozen solid to the condensing unit. It apparently had been there for years, even before we had purchased this house. He explained that all we had to do was shut the unit off, wait until it defrosted and remove it. The reason this had happened was that the ceiling compartment that had been holding the filters was not adequate and need to be replaced. This was done easily enough after a trip to the plumbing and heating supply store.

Toms River Heating and Air Conditioning gives great service. They came on time as agreed and got right to work. We have a large older home, so it was impressive how they got all of the installation done so quickly and efficiently. I wouldn't hesitate to refer them to others.
