Tirondola Home Builders

I am the attorney for a homeowner located in Toms River, New Jersey.   My client hired Greg Tirondola/Tirondola Home Builders,  a residential home improvement contractor, located at 676 Princess Court, Toms River, New Jersey to do remodeling work at my client's home.  My client paid him in full in the total amount of $53,793.00.  The work was done in a slipshod manner, using unskilled laborers with little or no supervision.   Just about everything that was done has to be repaired or replaced.   We hired an expert contractor who performed inspections and rendered written estimates in the total amount $36,480.00 to repair/replace the materials that Tirondola supplied.  On top of that he walked off the job before it was finished.  He never even returned the keys to my client’s house notwithstanding my repeated demands.   I filed suit against Tirondola in the Superior Court of New Jersey.   I obtained default judgment against Tirondola under the Consumer Fraud Statute in the amount of $109,440.00.  Then when I made attempts to collect the judgment Tirondola filed bankruptcy.
