+ -1 moreWe can provide one very significant "don't:"--- DON'T even CONSIDER doing business with this company or any of the many other LLCs that start up business each time the owner closes one down. Stay away from Joseph Janas, his relatives, and any associates who operate business under any name (A & J Contracting is a more recent one). He will take your money and disappear; he will leave jobs undone and then demand more money to come back and rectify things. Do yourself a big favor and run in the other direction if you come into contact with any business operated by this man or his relatives.
Description of Work: This company is totaly dishonest. The principal, Joe Janas, has been convicted of theft by deception in Northern New Jersey in the early 2000s. We did not know that when we hired him. We had siding, roofing, some interior remodeling done, and much more. Even though we didn't request a job, we came home one day to find things pulled apart and to be told that major problems existed in our house. They didn't. But once everything was pulled apart, we were really quite vulnerable. We filed complaints with the Better Business Bureau and the Attorney General's Office. As soon as the complaints were filed, he went out of business and re-opened shortly after under another name. His offices were cleared out over night.
