 + -1 moreI obtained his name from a neighbor and when I called he was able to come later that day if need be. He arrived at the appointment on a timely basis and went to work and completed the job within a satisfactory time limit. I was a bit surprised about his casual appearance but any trepidation I may have had was far outweighed by the quality of service he performed.
Description of Work: Piano had not been tuned in a very long time. Advised me almost immediately it would take extensive work to bring piano to a "perfect pitch" BUT he was very clear and honest in stating that the sound was still very, very good and it wasn't necessary for me to do so unless I wanted/needed to have the sound absolutely perfect. He also fixed a squeaky pedal problem that others had ignored.

 + -1 moreThe tuning phase took longer than I expected. But the piano plays nicely now.
Description of Work: Mr. Ford tuned my 75-year-old Baby Grand Piano so that it sounds much better than it has for years. Mr. Ford told me that he was unable to tune it back to 100% because of its age. I confirmed this on line by looking up the brand name. The on line comment said the same thing. The piano is just too old. But for my purposes it sound fine.

 + -1 moreHe is a very good piano tuner. The people I had bought the piano from referred him to me and I have been using him since then. He's very methodical and he's been doing it for many years. He has a regular day job. If you need him he's always available even during the evenings and week ends. His price is reasonable. He works for churches and does work for performing art groups too.
Description of Work: He helped tune my piano.
