ADVANCED SECURITY SYSTEMS INC

BEWARE ! I have been a client of Advanced Security for 29 years ! They called me about a bill ; I explained I was out of work due to CoVid . They said make a partial payement , which I did . Later the same day , the owner calls me and says they don’t accept partial payments , and cancels my service . OK . Today , three months later , I receive a notice that they are suing me ! So my best advice to anyone reading this is STAY AWAY !

Consider this a warning to anyone looking to install a new security system or even switch monitoring companies.  Here you have a bunch of ?shylocks? disguised as alarm installers. They try to sell an integrated solution including maintenance complete
with overpriced equipment by how ?rapid? a response they will be in an alarm or technical situation.  Their lead salesman
Ethan Blumenfield has all the personality of a young Ben Stein or maybe Adam Sandler in a straight role.  He will
promise you the moon and stars including going into long diatribes about how he co-owns Advanced Security Systems and that their competitive  advantage/strength of service lies in the fact that the Blumenfield  family owns and operates Rapid
Response.  So one might believe they  are getting a well-integrated system when in fact it is all a scam.  You quickly realize something is a rye when their rather ?low tech?  installers arrive on site, throw up the hardware, claim that they cannot
use any of the pre-existing hardware and engage in a full scale reinstallation of new equipment no matter how new or old it might
be.  Then at the end of the day these ?jack booted? installers who from their appearance seem better suited for
ultimate fighting shake-you-down for immediate payment even before they are finished or even demonstrate that the system works.  Which as you can guess doesn?t.  Each time they came out to our offices to fix on  problem a new one would arise.  When
you had an issue with the system and requested someone to come out and look at it they were often unavailable or not able to address the situation immediately.  When you have a system that is constantly faulting and open wires exposed I can?t
imagine it is doing a great job of keeping your offices or home secure.  Each time they came out they would look for additional funds, claiming the problems were related to things other than their technology and installation techniques.  It would be comical if it were not true. The best part and most frustrating comes when you actually do have an alarm situation and our several interactions with the monitoring company over everything from false alarms tripped by the hardware to actual
accidental system alarms triggered by hapless employees.  Now we are rather forgiving people and although we recognize every system has kinks that need to be worked out it was the frustration we had interacting with the monitoring reps that pushed us over the edge.  Not only were they unintelligible over the phone but no matter what we did they could never get the password correct, constantly causing the police to be dispatched to our location.  Now granted Rapid Response is secluded up in Syracuse NY perhaps just a little to far from civilization to be relevant but honestly something as simple as this should be basic faire
for a monitoring company.  Perhaps they are cloistered in Syracuse to avoid the wrath of an angry customer base.  Perhaps the Blumenfields need to fire their son and get a better sales rep.  Perhaps their son needs to stop bragging he is a part owner in a company that is blatantly not his.  Perhaps these companies need to make good on monies owed to my firm.  Perhaps you should take my warning and never use these guys for your security system.  Perhaps.

They just switched ownership not too long ago. I have been real happy with them. They do what they are supposed to do and they seem flexible and easy to work with. I have only good things to say about them.

THEY INSTALLED THE ALARM 20 YEARS AGO AND MAINTAINED IT EVER SINCE THEY INSTALLED IT. WHEN THEY COME TO WORK ON THE ALARM THEY DON'T LEAVE ANY MESSES BEHIND. I AM VERY HAPPY WITH THEIR SERVICES AND I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM TO OTHER PEOPLE.

I AM VERY PLEASED WITH THEIR SERVICE. THEY ARE ALWAYS PUNCTUAL AND PROFESSIONAL WHEN MAINTENANCE IS NEEDED. THEY ALWAYS MAKE SURE TO CALL WHENEVER THERE ARE ANY PROBLEMS.
