Went really well. From responding to my voicemail very quickly. Showed up within the timeframe specified. Was polite, knowledgeable and professional. Cleared the clog in no time and gave me tips on how to best maintain the unit going forward.

We had a disaster with a broken toilet that was flooding our bathroom. The shutoff valve at the toilet wasn't working and we couldn't find the main valve. To top it off, this all happened on a Sunday afternoon. We called Matt and he was here in less than 10 minutes. He got the water turned off, fixed everything up, and gave us some really good advice. I will absolutely call him again in the future, for emergency or non-emergency work.

In April, I used an Angies List coupon for a $40 camera inspection of the main sewer line of my house. That price was outstanding, as most places charge several hundred dollars for this service. The technician who performed the inspection was very chatty and pointed out all sorts of bad things in my pipe. When all was said and done, he attempted to sell me about $8000 worth of cleaning and relining. Now I understand the $40 inspection was a loss leader, and they really wanted to sell repairs, but...I asked a LOT of people for advice, and the best advice that I got (from a plumbing supply shop in Tenafly) was to call Matt at Bardia Plumbing & Heating. We spent a few minutes on the phone discussing my situation. I told him that I had taken video of the inspection with my camera. He had me send it to him (actually, I uploaded it to youtube, and I emailed him a link). A short while later, he called me back and we had a serious discussion about my situation.I have to say, I've never had someone work so hard to talk me out of spending money. He pointed out several errors (or misleading statements, if you prefer) made by the camera operator. For instance, his characterization of the bottom of the pipe being "completely gone" in some areas and "paper thin" in others was completely explained away by a short (but detailed) discussion of the geometry of the deposits in the pipe versus the water flow washing those deposits away from the bottom of the pipe.Long story short, Matt said that if this were his house, he'd just leave it alone, but if it would make me (and my wife) more comfortable, running a snake through the pipe would cost under a couple of hundred bucks, and since his machine is currently broken, he referred me to another plumber.Matt put in a good amount of time on this, and there was no charge. So, I figured the best I could do for him was to give him a good review here. If he worked this hard at getting me NOT to spend money, I have to believe he'd do a great job if there really was a problem to be fixed. There's no question that I will be calling him should the need arise (fingers are crossed).

The work they've done has been outstanding. Matt is a very honest and ethical person. He really follows through and performs at very high standards. He's gone out of his way to help friends of mine, which I really appreciate. Also, he is very responsive to emergencies.

HE IS VERY GOOD AT WHAT HE DOES. THE JOB WAS DONE VERY EFFICIENTLY. HE WORKS BY HIMSELF & IS ALWAYS VERY BUSY. WE FEEL THE PRICES ARE VERY REASONABLE. HE IS REALLY BUSY THOUGH & SOMETIMES HE IS A LITTLE LATE FOR THE APPOINTMENTS.

THEY WERE VERY EASY TO DEAL WITH. I MADE A TOTAL OF TWO PHONE CALLS. ONE WAS TO REPORT TROUBLES AND THE OTHER WAS TO SET APPOINTMENT. THEY WERE ABLE TO COME AND FIX THE PROBLEM WITH ONE VISIT.
