This is 3rd time, in 30 years, that my wife/I have called H Stanley to pave/seal our driveways. All 3x… the job was done correctly. Rich, was great to deal with this time. I believe his brother, had done the prior work. Either way? Didn’t matter. All members of H Stanley did their job, and did it respectfully, and to perfection. The properties in the low-lying S Jersey areas, are NOT easy to work with - as far as creating proper level/water flow. Rich, explained the processes start to finish. So, we knew what to expect. Hey, everybody has a bad day here or there…but I gotta think after 30 years, 2 properties, and 3 jobs contracted. That’s good enough data/feedback on a company. Good company. Good people !!

I had Stanley Paving widen my driveway in April. I originally planned to go with another company but found out Stanley was local and I wanted to give the work to a local business even though his quote was a little higher than the other 2 companies, HUGE MISTAKE!! The first issue we had was, they didn't bring enough asphalt to finish in 1 day. Rich came back the next day to finish the job but where he left off there is a huge ugly noticable seam going verticle and horizontal through my driveway. I asked Rich about it and he told me it would go away in a few weeks, 6 months later it is still there along with the cracks and crumbling of the asphalt due to weeds and grass growing through. I was told that this sometimes happens. There is a hole in the driveway from when my 5 year old put his kickstand down on his 10lb bicycle ("this happens too anything that can poke the driveway will make a hole") The last and final complaint I have and just noticed is there is an imprint of my garbage can in the asphalt. Everytime I reached out to Rich he was very responsive and he did come back to try and repair his mistakes so I'll give him that but the issues were never properly fixed and the job was not cheap! The only reason why I am giving Stanley Paving a bad long written review is because... I guess Rich finally got sick of me calling him with issues so he told me to complain to Better Business Bureau which I did. None the less he text me on Thanksgiving telling me to contact BBB. I understand being a business owner myself that things don't always go according to plan but this job was beyond bad and its not getting fixed, I'm worried come winter when it snows and I shovel my driveway its going to get torn up which if I didn't contact BBB I'm sure I would have been told that this is "normal" there was never any resolution to this expensive job. I could have done a better job myself for a fraction of the money.

Rich Stanley just completed my asphalt driveway (150 x 15). The work was FAR BETTER than my expectations, exactly what I wanted and more and at a cost far less than I expected. Rich was very responsive from the very first contact and scheduling was a breeze. The crew was very professional and the end result is truly amazing. The connection to the garage is perfect and they even paved perfectly around the 2 air conditioning units. They dug and prepared the walkway to the front of the house and paved it by hand and it also looks amazing.

Rich came out the same day I requested service for an estimate. We agreed on a price. Within one week he and his men were replacing my driveway. What an incredible great job and a wonderful experience. I would hire them any day and I would recommend them wholeheartedly

It went well. When i called to schedule for an estimate the response was immediate. The written estimate we received was detailed and comprehensive. When I called to set up the work, they said they would call back with a timeframe and they were there within a day. Work was done over two 1/2 days, When the concrete apron was being removed it was discovered there was a void under part of the garage floor. The work was stopped and before blindly continuing, I was consulted on how to proceed. The work was continued as the void was found to be small and could be filled in with the concrete and new sub-base being installed. Everything turned out well and the driveway looks great. They were very neat and professional.

They came out and gave me a written proposal on the same day that I called. The total was significantly less than the next lowest bidder (we had gotten three bids). They were available to do the work one day earlier than expected, and knocked out the job on a single day. Beautiful job.
