Auto Service
I've gone to this shop for more than ten years with more than 5 different family cars. Always felt they were fair and honest, but things felt different during this last trip.
Before the work began, shop employees performed an inspection and came up with nearly a thousand dollars in additional work that they wanted to do. I don't mind the inspection or the sales pitch for extra work, but the "hard sell" I was given turned me off. I also learned on this trip that the Midas "lifetime warranty" is pretty useless. It only covers the muffler itself and not the labor or related pipes.

Auto Service
Oil change done no problem. no issues. Fair price, good work.
Then I'm told I need 2 front tires and they are running a special. Then I'm told I need to replace the my cracked belt. Then I'm told I need to flush my transmission fluid. The report they gave me read I need a new air cabin filter and shocks/struts (The manager, who was really nice, didn't talk about the filter, shocks/struts) Upon inspection, I do need tires and I probably should replace belt. Transmission fluid replacement is most likely not necessary. Air filter, shocks/struts not necessary.
I have no reason to question the service but I do question the additional recommended work. I only asked for an oil change.
I probably won't use this facility again because I felt they were too aggressive in having me agree to additional maintenance work (some necessary, some not.).
