CLINTON PAVING CO

These guys are clowns. They are very eager to trash talk all of the other businesses in the roxbury area just to get your money, and then they make you sit around until it's convenient for them to do a crap job. I had my driveway expanded and resurfaced and after waiting two months for them to show, sitting through a warm winter, the part by the road started to crumble after  only four months. I'm the only house in the neighborhood and near radius that had their driveways done at the same time that is cracking. When I try to call the the owner tells me i'm out of luck because he sold it and driveways don't come with warrantees. They don't even pick up the phone unless you threaten with police inquiries or better business bureau complaints. Don't even consider these guys, even though they appear on the cheap side, spend the extra for someone who actually knows what they're doing and are better businessmen.

I called 5 local paving contractors and only two returned my calls. Mike Hunkele of Clinton Paving was the first to respond. During the estimate visit Mike spent plenty of time answering my questions and talking franking of how the job should be done correctly. For instance because of the number of large rocks expected to be removed  he advised waiting a week to allow additional settling before paving.

The Clinton Paving crew arrived on time and spent 2/3 of the day removing the old driveway, removing large rocks (at first glance we thought there might have been 3-4 rocks that needed removing, but in fact there were more then a dozen removed), installing the new base for the driveway., and installing the storm water drain. Per our agreement, I was going to handle the work of connecting a pipe (a "French Drain" system) to the Clinton Paving installed drain. The crew was kind enough to offer to use their backhoe to dig the trench I needed to install the French Drain to dispose of the water collected from the driveway drain (making my part job a lot easier)

The crew completed the asphalt paving the following week (to allow for additional settle in the spots that had the large rocks removed), taking about a 1/2 day. The crew was polite and professional. I would highly recommend Clinton Paving.
