after the estimate and contractual agreement , they came and demo'ed the deck. In a half a day it was down to the framework,
first DON'T do not demo the area unless you can get the supplies (of the customers choice) first, contractor went to supplier and was told there would be a two week delay, which was unacceptable by the homeowner, after searching around (to his credit)he came through, and started construction the third day, he sent his best man (Jeff) to build the deck which smooth after that, In a week's time a new and beautiful deck was completed. IT LOOKS GREAT. thanks again HOUSE MEDICS
p.s. they did such a good job we are getting a estimate for a bathroom redo.
They do what they say they will do. Their staff or mechanics are skilled, fast and precise in their craft/trade. Courteous is a by-product when excellent work is performed but when it is afforded as it was by Home Medics LLC in conjunction with good craftsmanship what more can you possibly ask from your contractor.
I strongly recommend Home Medics, LLC for all your Home repairs and make them your personal handymen. Go to their website and see the many services they offer.
The fence job was VERY difficult because of tree roots. Fencing company delivered the fencing (it was a large load and we did not expect the contractors to pick it up). Contractors did a great job getting through really tough tree roots - fence looked beautiful and neat when done and worked great for the dogs. Very professional, neat and timely. Contractor removed all old metal fencing and fence posts and cut up and stacked for removal.
For the paver job, the contractor neatly broke up and removed old walk way sections - bagged in heavy contractor bags. Neatly removed and rolled up sod and laid the pavers professionally. Looks great!
All work was done on time and for the price quoted. Workers were clean, polite and professional. Professional tools and work trucks. Respectful of our home and neighbors. Will definitely use them again.
everything they did and they were very thorough. I will be recommened them to friends and family

All work guaranteed for 10 years. Customer supplies extra cabinet wall unit. I was assured that the bathroom would be great. He seemed a little overly assuring, but I explained I would have to know exactly what the plan was.
Then I asked for pictures of his plans, the faucets, the granite, vanity, tile, etc. I explained I would have to see it and choose whatever was going in. I did receive pictures of vanities, granite, tile, etc that just did not meet what I could live with. I went to Home Depot alone and looked at all the possible choices Eric had suggested. During my trip to Home Depot, Eric called me. After letting him know the basic items at Homedepot were not ok, Eric grew frustrated and was less than professional by saying things such as, "I am not your boyfriend or husband and cannot spend all day shopping with you". At that point, I recall saying we were just not in sync and I needed to find someone else to work with.
After several calls back from Eric, we finally agreed we would meet again and redo the estimate and I would purchase the products. On June 18, 2012, the estimate was reworked to $3,424 for the work and I would supply everything except the crown molding. Again, all work was guaranteed for 10 years. I showed Eric pictures of the WaterTech bathtub I had found through Lowes, the vanity with granite top and 2 sinks, the linen closet, the lights, etc. He was helpful by telling me to go to Home Depot in Berlin and go through the contractor desk to order all the items except the tub. He did call ahead and asked Ben to assist me and to put it through House Medics discount if any available. That worked out very well. On June 18, everything was ordered through Home Depot except the tub, which I had already ordered on June 7, 2012 and it was to arrive by June 15.
I was planning to leave for vacation starting June 29 and expected all would be done before then.
The demolition work was begun so everything was out of bathroom except toilet. On June 21, at 3:30 pm I notified Paul, another worker who had been doing electric work to get ready for tub, that the tub was in at Lowes. House Medics said they pick up supplies. I fully expected that the tub would be installed Friday, June 22. I heard nothing back. I then left messages with Michael Rewarding, who was supposed to be the one scheduling work, and I notified Eric. Eric got back to me via text that he had dental surgery and was on pain killers, etc.
However, I heard nothing from Michael about the schedule for Friday and I was left with no bathroom except toilet. Family arrived from out of town and all agreed to continue with bathroom project after July 7.
Project was restarted, tub was delivered and left on front step. Michael opened box and said tile flange was missing and he could not install without that. Also front apron was not included. I got WaterTech on the phone and Shane at WaterTech talked with Michael and explained how to install tub as done by 75% of customers, but Michael said had to wait to get tile flange or could not guarantee his work. So Michael said he had to go to other jobs and tub was left on front step. Later I called Michael about coming back to move tub as had been stated earlier. He said he could not get back to put the tub off the front step and into the POD. So I called Lowes and begged them to do that. They came and moved tub. Eventually all supplies came in and Michael and another worker were here to install tub. I believe it was Rusty.
As far as I could tell the directions were not being followed. I had printed the directions off the website. The tub was not tested for leaks out on driveway before bringing it into the space. The tub was set in place and I questioned why it was not placed on a bed of mortar with rails one half inch off the floor, as directions specified. I actually handed Michael the directions I had printed off the website even though the directions were also with the tub. He informed me that they had installed many tubs and it was ok. Then he suggested to Rusty he could spray flexiseal under there. After much trial and effort with faucets, cutting of tiles, misplacement of grab bars, etc. all work was completed on July 18. Paul came back to stop leak under sinks, and I thought all was going to be ok even though the grab bars were way off my requested placement. I ended up saying ok to the misplacement because it would require tearing out tiles, etc. Overall, it looked gorgeous.
After a few days, I used the tub for the first time, but had not figured out how to get the bubble jets to work. I read directions and still could not make them work. But I noticed the grout cracked around the tub and in the corners of the wall. I called Eric and left a message. He had Rusty call me about the grout cracking.
I became concerned about that and the fact that I could not figure out how to make the bubble jets work. After calling WaterTech to help figure out bubble jet problem, it was determined that the blower was never even hooked up. At that point, I also asked what would make cracking of grout and if tub was not installed over a bed of mortar, etc, what would happen. Shane at WaterTech informed me that spider cracks would occur in bottom of tub and warranty was voided if not installed according to directions. I called Eric and Michael and left messages about cracked grout and concerns about installation.
On August 3, I also put in writing my concerns and that I could see no way to have warranty without reinstallation of tub. I sent a copy of the directions with the letter to Eric. Rusty called me and I told him what WaterTech had said and that it looked as though the tub would have to be reinstalled to meet warranty specifications. He mentioned tearing out the wall in the room behind the bathroom might prevent having to take out the tile to put the mortar under the tub. I said no way could that be done.
After several calls and messages to HouseMedics, I received a text on Aug 11, from Eric saying that he had given the letter to Michael, that Michael handles the service work and that I should call him and he assured me that they would stand behind their work and would take care of everything. Again told me to call Michael and leave him a long detailed message. Since tub is not cracking, just enjoy it until Mike gets there.
Then on Aug 24, after messages and calls, I sent a text stating that I have heard nothing from anybody since the text of Aug 11. Eric texted that he was away and call Michael. He assured me that any problems would be taken care of.
On Sept 5, I left a message that I had left messages and made calls and had no response, I needed to get somebody's attention. Eric called me back and had Michael on the line as well. I again reiterated that I had no bubble jets functioning. I discussed my concerns as stated in letter, etc. Michael started to say, that they would have to redo it if I was not satisfied. At that point, Eric jumped in and said there is nothing wrong with it now. I mentioned the directions I had sent with the let
"Customer has been misinformed in the manner of the tub installation. Tub manufacturer suggested tub be installed in mortar especially when tub installed as a drop in. Tub was not installed as a drop in and has most definitely been installed correctly. In addition we guaranteed installation and the tub itself beyond what comes from the manufacturer."
