i like the quality of the anderson silver-line windows. the quality of the installation was terrible. their "best installer" was a train wreck. here is what he did: l) he put the shutters on top of the window trim not beside the trim. 2) he used white caulking on almond windows when I specifically stated that i wanted almond caulking. 3) he put screws in the stripping on the top of the window. 4) he broke my window well which i've had since i moved into the house in 1983. 5) he took the molding off inside the dining room window and completely took the paint off. i had to repaint the entire molding. 6) he crushed the plants outside of the garage window when i specifically told him to be careful that i just planted them. Craig came out and accessed the damages the next day. i told him i didn't want "bill" back to fix anything. so craig got a "roofer" to come out. the roofer did put the shutters on the side of the trim but didn't nail the trim down and it was crooked. craig comes out again to access the damages. this time craig said he's coming out to fix everything with bill. i was so tired of this i said yes. on 7'/2 the windows were finally done. the caulking was almond and the big screws on the molding were replace by small screws. craig gave me $50 for damages to the window well. they also fixed the window trim on the garage.
