Description of Work: Apgar construction (Dan Apgar) is the best contractor I have ever used. We did an entire condo renovation in an old building. He was on the job everyday, great communication, estimating, and most important, craftsmanship. Dan always does the "right" thing. I trust him and his workers completely. I would highly recommend him.

Description of Work: As it turned out, there was nothing for Dan to do. He walked us through our problems and was always available to answer questions. Unlike most contractors, he is very quick to respond to texts and voice mails. I would use him in a heartbeat.

+ -1 moreIt was good. He was prompt, very courteous, came out and did a good job, and gave a run down for everything but the the price was a little bit higher for what we have wanted for. Everything seemed very reasonable as far as the way he talked me down. It was just more than just we're looking at that time. I got 5 or 6 construction companies from the search and he was one of two who actually bother to return my call. He returned my call within the day and he made the appointment maybe after few days.
Description of Work: We got a quote from Apgar Construction for kitchen and bathroom remodel.

He listened to my concerns and told me that he couldn't handle my particular job right now, but gave me good advice on where to find someone who could. He was very professional. Even though he won't be doing this particular job, that professionalism means that I will definitely call him for an estimate when I need something else handled around the house.

+ -1 moreFrom initial estimate to final completion Dan Apgar and his crew were professional prompt, and did an excellent job. Dan worked with us to meet our scheduling needs. His work was completed on time and with very clear communication. All requirements of the cleanup and demolition were completed without a problem. We will be using Apgar Construction for the rebuild of the basement after the interior drain and sump pump systems is complete.
Description of Work: The contractor was hired after flooding from hurricane Irene to do initial cleanout and demolition of basement from flood damage. This was the initial step in rebuilding the basement so that we could have an interior drain system installed and rebuild to the status prior to Hurricane Irene. The demo involved removing a raised floor and interior walls along with trying to salvage existing electrical, walls, built in cabinets and ceilings to the extent possible.
