Janry Pet Resort

Not good at all, We came back on Sunday and called to say we were coming to get Jake. They said good that he is not right. I got there and he was in a little pet carrier ( he was a 50 lb dog) and could even stand up. I got him out and tried to steady him to stand but he was so weak he could barely move. I said what happened and the said he was like that when he came in. He wasn't because I brought him in myself. I took him straight to the vets and they checked him and kept him for 3 days for dehydration. The vets called Janry and must have told them my dogs condition and said they better pay if they want to avoid a lawsuit. He stayed on IV for 2 days and then a special diet when he came home. I will NEVER go back or recommend this place to anyone. My guess is they forgot about him in a fenced in area in July heat and probably with no water. How dare they say he was like this when he came in, do they always take in dogs for boarding that they think are ill?

I highly recommend Janry Pet Resort not only for boarding, but for daycare as well. In February 2014, my pet sitter backed out at the last minute, and I had no one to watch my Golden Retriever for several days. Janry Pet Resort was recommended by my veterinarian, but I was hesitant because I never boarded my dogs before. I went to visit and was so impressed by the facilities and staff. They not only offer overnight boarding, but daycare as well. I went on my trip in February, and received daily e-mails with pictures of my Golden. It was such a great experience for me and my Golden that I decided to use Janrys exclusively for all my pet care needs. No more pet sitters! My Golden now goes 1-2 times a week for daycare to play with the other dogs as well as get spoiled by the staff. When I go away, I can do so knowing that my Golden is being well cared for and having FUN while I'm gone. This is top-notch pet sort that will exceed your expectations!

I use Janry for my two dogs, a Great Dane and a blind Bassett Hound. Overall Janry is wonderful. My very clingy GD loves it there and the blind BH is well watched over and enjoys the other dogs that she plays with.The caretakers really love their jobs and the dogs. They even have parties for them where they put hats on the dogs and they get special treats. I guess you get what you pay for because I believe they are very expensive but I will continue to use them because of the quality of care. I just have to budget at least a $1000 a week for them when I go on vacation. The B for punctuality is for drop off/pick up. Don't be in a hurry.

Buddy stayed for a week at Janry. I called everyday to check on him and every day I did the staff was really informative. I felt so much better about leaving my baby in their care. He is a diabetic and they even had staff to give him his shot everyday. On the day I picked him up I got him groomed and he smelled so good and looked great. This is the only place for me and Buddy.

Janry Pet Resort is truly a resort for pets. I have seen Janry go from a top-notch kennel and grooming facility to a true pet resort with spectacular property, people and services.They are unlike any pet service in our area. When I must go away, I know that Lola is in the greatest hands possible and I don't need to worry and wouldn't think about leaving her anywhere else. They make everything so convenient, even pickup and drop off service. Lola is always happy when we turn into their property and is in tiptop condition when I pick her up. The staff smothers her with love.
I have also had Lola enrolled in their obedience class and their trainer, Linda Aller, not only trains the pet but also the pet parent and has a wonderful way with animals and people.

The staff seems friendly, however, the overall experience was terrible. I suspect my dogs either didn't get any or very limited playtime.

Of course, we waited until the last minute to figure out we needed a place to board our puppy for the weekend. We didn't want to put her in a normal 'Kennel', so we searched for a pet resort and found Janry. They have a great website showing the place and pictures of the animals that have stayed there. The board cats, dogs, birds, and also do daycare, grooming, and breed German Shepherds. They recommended we bring Bindi to tour the facility, which we did. They have several play areas and trails to walk to animals. It's not a traditional kennel whereas the animals have indoor area and then can go outdoors via a petdoor. They also give you a free daycare day to get your pet accustomed to the environment and other animals and they give you a report card to let you know how the day went. So we took the dog for here daycare day and then drop her off the next day for boarding. Picked her up a couple days later and she was tuckered out, but happy. Janry also posts daily pictures on Facebook. We'll definitely use this facility in the future.

My pups are all different. I have a Shepard who hates being washed a Aussie with bad hips and a Lab that is still real goofy, so finding a facility that can care for all three is a bit of a challenge, going to Big Box pets stores just won't cut it. I needed a real professional crew and these folks are the ticket. They have no issue dealing with all three and the price is pretty much the same as if i did go to one of the high volume places where kids would be doing 90% of the work.
