GP Builders

From start to finish, GP Builders Inc did a superior job remodeling my kitchen and half-bath. They were exceptionally thorough with every detail, extremely knowledgeable and easy to work with. As both rooms were total gut jobs, I went into this process with quite a bit of trepidation, but very quickly any and all fears I had about any of it were quickly relieved by their skill, professionalism and work ethic. George spent countless hours both with me and on his own researching the specifics during the planning process, explained everything every step of the way and was always available to address any concerns I had. He listened to everything I wanted and did his absolute best to make it happen, and always with an upbeat attitude. GP Builders takes pride in their work down to the smallest detail, actually enjoys the work they do, and, for me, this turned out to be a nearly stress-free process with an absolutely stunning result. Over the years I have had professionals in and out of my house doing various jobs, but hands down GP Builders is at the top of the list, and now will always be my first and only call for future projects.

We wanted to turn our unfinished basement into a livable space, and add a bathroom. We were referred to GP Builders by a family member that had used them to do some remodeling. They were very patient with us, drew us up some plans and even a 3D digital layout. Once work started they were very thorough, they advised us every step of the way and wanted to make sure that no corners were cut, and anything that needed fixing was fixed before the walls went up. By all standards they were great. They really try to make things look nice, some contractors will use the cheapest materials they can find just to save a few dollars on their end, but GP Builders did their best to make the space both functional and beautiful without breaking the bank. They were clean in their work and very professional, but at the same time very down to earth and open to talk and explain things. We would definitely use them again and recommend them to all our friends and family. They are certainly not the bargain price contractor but in my opinion they are well worth it for the quality they produced.

We have a basic 1980's bi-level, it is or should I say was completed dated. We decided it was time to start updating but so far had no experience at all in remodeling. We didn't even know where to start, so we asked around the neighborhood and luckily one of our neighbors had used GP Builders Inc to remodel their bathroom which looked phenomenal, so we took a chance and called them up. They were very polite and patient with us, even offered to come by and give us a free estimate and consultation. They came the very next day after calling them, took measurements and went over some ideas with us. We didn't have any designs or plans, and frankly we are not creative people at all so I doubt we could have ever come up with anything nearly as beautiful as they did. What was impressive is that they actually have an in house designer that treats each project as a unique one, and designs a space and style according to your personal taste. We actually called another contractor and they not only had a higher bid price but basically asked us what we wanted, and when we didn't know they just filled in the blanks with generic cheap items, this would have made their job easier but the end result would have been no where near what we eventually got with GP Builders. After about 2 weeks of thought we decided to pull the trigger and go ahead with the remodel and with GP. They required 1/3 of the total cost as a deposit, which we found to be standard. They started wok the following week. They removed the old flooring, the fireplace fascia boards, the mantel, the entry door, deck doors, and a window. Everything looked okay except the old deck door had a leak and after removing they found that the floor had been rotted. It wasn't major, so GP Builders graciously agreed to fix it for just the cost of material which amounted to less than a $100. After the horror stories I've heard from other people, I was so relieved that they were so generous and honest and didn't try to get extra money from us, which I have heard that many other contractors will do. They were very clean in their work, they masked off parts of the house that were not being worked on, they cleaned their boots before entering, and cleaned up after they were done. Work took about a week and after it was done the space was unrecognizable. It literally looks like a designer room from a magazine. I never thought that this kind of look and feel could be had by an average Joe on a budget. I have friends who used other contractors and paid twice as much for a new but bland and generic space. They tiled the foyer with mosaic stone and inlays, put hardwood in the living room, installed french deck doors and a matching entry door, new window, they tilled the fire place all the way to the ceiling with slate tiles, made a custom rustic fireplace mantel, painted everything including railings, and purchased some decor at their cost! They didn't just do the construction they even did a little interior design all for the same cost. We couldn't be happier, everyone who walks in is amazed at how modern and cool everything looks. We are already on the books with them to redo our main bathroom, and for all our future needs. They are getting jobs all over our neighborhood. Trust me you wont regret it, they really put in that extra effort that I dont think most others will. They even purchased decorative pillows to put on our sofas to match the new theme!
