They are horrible and I would never recommend them to anyone. I am taking him to court. He did not do the job. He took my money did one eight of the job and never did the rest of the job. He took $10,000. I singed a contact in 2009 and was pussyfooting back and forth in 2010 and then 2011 we had to hire another contractor in to do the job.

I noticed water on my basement floor.  It was coming out of one of the connections at the top of the hot water tank which is still under a 12 year warranty (installed 2004).  It was still generating plenty of hot water, but I couldn't manage the water on my basement floor.  I called the GE number on the side of the tank and they verified that the warranty would cover the price of a new replacement tank of the same size - also under a new 12 year warranty.  Catch is, that I had to cover the price for a plumber to remove, deliver it to the nearest supplier (big string) , bring back and install the new tank.  I called about 7, A-rated Angies List plumbers and Josh was the only one who responded!  Josh is the Son part of Dick and Sons.  While I had to call over and over, he usually eventually answered and took action.  Josh gave me an estimate which was reasonable ($500 - I red of installations costing a lot more).  He stuck with his estimate.  Nice and polite guy.  I had to travel with him to deliver and pick up the new tank to make sure the warranty was enforced. I had to do the clean up myself. He even allowed me to pay him with installments which I really needed at this time.  He even stopped in a day later (for free) when the water wouldn't stay hot.  The new tank was throwing the fuse in the fuse box which had only a 20 amp fuse.  We discovered that we needed to change the fuse for the hot water heater to a higher 30amp fuse and he handled it.  I intend to use him for other plumbing needs.
