MPA Painters

Went perfectly. We just moved into a big house and needed the entire house painted in less than a week for a budget price. We got everything we wanted! Our rep was very professional, and made sure the team gave us everything we asked for. They even threw in some extra exterior painting. I am so happy with our place and it looks incredible. Thanks MPA for making this house look like our home!

Phase 1 & 2 went smoothly

The workers were efficient and cleaned up after themselves. They put plastic in the doorway to protect the rest of the house. They did a great work.

Hector Martinez and his team were terrific. They do quality work at a competitive price. They will come out for an estimate and write up a detailed quote. They arrived on time every day, and finished the job on time. It took four days to paint my entire house (minus the basement). The first day was spent doing prep work and priming the surfaces that needed it. They removed all switch plates, loosened light fixtures, and sanded/spackled as needed. The paint job looks great, and I thought the price was fair. On the last day, I walked through the house and pointed out a few small areas I wanted touched up, and they were happy to oblige. Hector was also kind enough to absorb the loss when I accidentally provided the wrong paint color number for my living room, and therefore needed them to purchase an extra two gallons.
My criticisms: before the team started the work, I found it difficult to communicate with the office staff. I had wanted to add additional trim painting to the job, and wanted to get an updated quote, and it took some time to have the details relayed properly to Hector and to get the new quote back. I know they are working on training the staff though so I believe this will improve. Furthermore, once the job started, Hector was always available to me by cell phone and was very responsive. He came to the job site once or twice a day to check in and discuss the job with his team and with me. The painters were hard-working, skilled, and courteous, and there was always at least one person present who spoke English fluently.
My only other criticism is that, while they cleaned up their equipment nightly, and at the end of the job, they did leave a film of dust over pretty much every surface in the house. The dust came from sanding between coats of paint and during prep work. In any case, removing a layer of dust from every countertop, floor, etc, is no small task, and I feel it should have been their responsibility to clean up, not ours. In their defense, I did not complain to Hector or ask him to rectify it; I think the odds are good he would have taken care of it had I asked.
Overall, I was extremely happy with Martinez Painting. I would certainly use them again in the future, and I would recommend them to my friends and family as well.
