Mack Camera & Video Service

The pins in the memory card slot of my Canon 40D were bent and needed to be replaced. I sent the camera to Canon Factory Service Center in Jamesburg, NJ. Canon quoted me $500.00. I didn't go with the Canon factory service as I didn't want to pay $500.00 for a five year old camera, especially when I can get a Canon 60D body for another 150-200 bucks.
Hence checked out Angie's List and the guys at Mackcam had decent reviews, even though not many. And sicnce they were within driving distance from where I lived, I decided to check them out. When I showed them the camera, they quoted me $175/- plus taxes and told me 2-3 weeks of repair time.
I had checked another repair person in Indiana and he quoted me $135.00. But that would include my shipping charges with insurance of about 135.00/-. Also, he had given me a rough estimate without looking at the camera.
Since the cost was coming almost the same, I decided to go with Mackcam and I must say they did a wonderful job. I got the camera back within 1 week and it's working perfectly. They also have a 90 day warranty on the repair they have done.
My whole experience with them was great, even though I think their price is a little on the higher side. But hey, my camera is now fixed and am happy!

I like their reputation. I've used them for years. The service is good.

We bought a warranty and I have used them twice. The first time, we mailed them the camera and they repaired it and sent it back. They were good and the warranty price was reasonable. I will use them again.

They are very good. They offered average pricing and they were very prompt. It only took an hour to do the job.

I have used them a couple of times. The last time I used them, I had a warranty for the work done. They are good. They know what they are doing. They go the distance. I am going to be moving shortly and I will be sorry that I will not be nearby them to get things done again. I will use them again in the future if required.
