"Thank you for your positive feedback! We look forward to serving you again."
"Thank you for your positive feedback! We are always here for you."
"We truly feel a need to respond to you misrepresentation of the events. A company such as ours which has been in business for over 35 years with the same name and owner could not survive in such a small community if it were a "rip-off"! Most of our clientele is by word of mouth from extremely satisfied customers. It is of the utmost importance that we address your accusation of taking advantage of your wife. She was given 3 price options in writing BEFORE we did any work. She seemed unsure, whereupon the technician told her she could either call you to discuss it or we could come back at a later date so she could think about it. Your wife called you with the information that was written and she apparently received approval from you. She chose option #3 which included the first 2 options at a 10% discount of $71.00. We also waived the customary service call fee - a total savings of $126.00. Again, the price for the complete installation was presented to your wife BEFORE work was performed and she agreed to it by signing the work order. Just as when shopping in a store you can chose to pick up a priced item and purchase it or put it back on the shelf. You both knew the cost and could have declined. How is this a rip-off? Your wife also signed that the work was completed satisfactorily. You failed to mention that there were two technicians working at your home, thereby completing the job more quickly - however, the manpower and hours were still implemented. We do not offer bargain service, which explains the longevity of our company. Success such as this does not come from over-charging. It comes from providing high quality customer service from initial contact through follow-up. We receive calls everyday from homeowners who had a plumber install something a year ago and they can no longer find him/her. Knowing that we will be here tomorrow and we will respond if there is any problem with our work is a great comfort to our three thousand plus satisfied customers. We strive daily to offer the best in customer service, workmanship, and the highest quality parts available. We stand behind our work and consider our customers a priority. We know we will never be the cheapest company in Sussex County, but we are certain we will be among, if not the best."
He arrived promptly. I called for help with a flooded basement and he arrived soon after my call. He was professional and gave me an estimate before starting the job. He was knowledgeable an gave me a number of solutions to prevent future flooding of my basement.
He was able to fix the problem quickly and was reliable, professional and extremely knowledgeable of plumbing issues. I would use again and recommend to others.
Horrible - worst customer service I have ever experienced. Except the dispatch lady who was very helpful and courteous.
Tech showed up, put on shoe booties to avoid tracking in dirt - nice touch.
I jokingly asked why he brought such a big truck for such a small job. He dryly said the truck carries a lot of parts. OK good.
He looked at the shower and immediately began bad mouthing Kohler. I empathized and said I did not know why the Kohler was installed because this was a Home Depot neighborhood. He walked swiftly out the door saying Kohler is junk and that he did not carry parts for Kohler because they were very hard to get. I jokingly asked him if he had any parts for my shower on that big truck - he was not amused.
The tech spent the next several minutes attempting to locate the right Allen wrench to remove the shower handle and was continually amazed how he guessed wrong about the size wrench needed to remove the handle. After he took off the cover he declared the job over because the piece was brass and Kohler no longer makes parts for that model (citing some model name which made little sense to me). Then stated the inside was brass and even if he had the parts he would not install them because its all junk. I assured him I had removed the brass cover once before and the inside piece was black plastic. He refused to believe me. He put it back together stating the entire assembly needs to be replaced - An entire Delta system is required with four hours of labor and $1500 - we don't do that on Saturdays - Saturdays are reserved for emergencies. Now I new why he had a hair across his bottom. This was not an emergency and he was called for a job that took him away from something else. I get that - no one wants to work weekends if they do not have to. But I did not schedule the call - his office did and he took it out on me. Maybe I am wrong - but this was very poor customer service.
Once he realized he could not fix the problem - he walked out. No work-a-round plan - no options - nothing. Just walked out - Have a good day.
On Monday I called Sharpe Plumbing. Tuesday the plumber came - we had a good conversation and the job was done in an hour. He had the mystery parts and all is well. Sussex county - John Sharpe - no one else.
"We're sorry you felt the need to rate us so poorly. It seems there has been a misunderstanding of what occurred. This is NOT a true representation of our company as is clearly demonstrated in ALL of the other Angie's List reviews as well as other online reviews. We just yesteray received two feedbacks via Square credit card processing: "Always impressed by the consistent quality of work and service provided by the Heine family. Very satisfied client since 1996" and another "Excellent all around! John and Kris are the best....expert, efficient, patient with explanations and friendly." There are hundreds others we receive yearly just like these. We do indeed carry many parts on our big truck as you "jokingly" called it. That does not mean we have every part - some that are outdated may have been used on previous jobs and may need some time to re-stock again. Due to the fact that we did not have the part that day, we offered two options: 1. We could replace the valve so that you would have use of the shower that day. 2. We could return and repair it once the part was back in stock. You chose not to replace and we did not charge you for anything. Most individuals will realize that one review such as this amongst all good ones is to be questioned. Our goal is to provide quality service using the best materials available. We are sorry we were not able to satisfy you."
We have used Heine Plumbing several times over the past few years for small and big jobs. In addition to the most recent service above we have used them for other repairs which turned out to be major repairs.
A couple years ago, they spent a week repairing the damage from a sudden leak in our old bath tub wall pipe that went through to the kitchen ceiling below. The floor/ceiling had to be torn out and much of the old bathroom replaced. It wasn't an easy job since it's an old home with charm but floors and doors that are not necessarily level or straight anymore. Since we only have one bathroom in our home, they supplied a portable toilet and returned every night to replace our regular toilet after the carpenter was done with the sheet rocking and tiling. About six months later when the portable handheld shower from the new bathtub unit developed a leak in the hose, they came to check it out and replaced it on the spot at no charge.
The following year, we had a clog in the sewer pipe from our washer line in the basement which turned out not to be a laundry clog but an ancient broken sewer line which collapsed farther from the house and filled with mud having been severely damaged by roots. It had been repaired at least half a century earlier with several different types of pipes which allowed the roots to get into the system. They drilled out the clogs and cleared the line of mud and debris from the broken pipes so the sewer line would work until they could get the permit and sewer and gas lines marked for the trenching to be done. They coordinated everything about the job and worked with excellent contractors to very carefully dig the trench from the house to the road. They rerouted the pipes to give easier access to the sewer line if needed in the future. They all worked through miserable, cold, windy, rainy weather and were soaked to the bone but wanted to get the job done before the impending bad weather which turned out to be our big October snowstorm. The contractors repaired the sidewalk and planted grass seed, covered with straw. It looked better than it did before they started working. A year after the sewer line was replaced, the lawnmower broke the cap to the sewer outlet. We called Heine Plumbing and they returned the next day with a replacement cap which they put on at no charge.
They are a class act. We call Heine for our plumbing issues, big and small, and wouldn't think about using anybody else. The office and the plumbers are great. They explain everything and answer our questions so we learned something new every time they were here. They kept us updated all through the projects so we knew what was going on. We know we can rely on them, their professionalism, the quality of their work, work ethic and their kindness. They coordinate their big projects with other conscientious professionals and craftsmen.
Let's face it, having major plumbing problems is an unexpected expense along with a lot of worry and potential inconvenience. Plumbing problems are not something that can be put off and you want to have the right person doing the job . It's nice to know that Heine Plumbing are dependable, professional people making it right. We would highly recommend them.
"Thank you for providing feedback. We sincerely appreciate and seriously consider all comments. We do however feel the need to respond to the fact that you mentioned that you would "get an estimate first" next time. In your case, as is our policy with ALL our service calls, you were given 3 WRITTEN quotes for all of the work performed BEFORE beginning any work. You SIGNED your approval BEFORE the work was begun as well as signing afterward that it was satisfactorily completed. You could have declined if you felt it was not in your budget. In response to the clean-up, we do pride ourselves on protecting the work area as well as cleaning when we are done. We apologize if we missed something and if you had mentioned it before signing that the work was satisfactorily completed, we would absolutely have gone over the area again. We appreciate that you said you would use us again and we look forward to that opportunity."
"Thank you for your kind words. We remain committed to quality and professionalism. It is our pleasure to serve you!"
"Thank you for taking the time to give our company a favorable rating. We promise to do our best to maintain your faith in us."
