Ken was excellent. Professional, knowledgeable, reliable, easy to work with. Pricing was fair for work done. Showed up when he promised. He went out of his way to obtain a better disposal for us. He installed a garbage disposal and did an excellent job. Needed to re-route some pipes in in addition to installation. We would hire him again.

Ken diagnosed the issue to be a failed expansion tank. He replaced a boiler expansion tank with a water heater expansion tank. Water heater tanks are precharged at 40 psi. Boiler tanks are precharged at 12psi. Hydronic heating works at about 15psi. So, when the water heats up and expands there is no where for it to go. So at 30psi the pressure relief valve opens and pours water all over my basement. It s also very dangerous. Negligent. Ken also replaced a working air vent work a non-functioning used unit that leaked water constantly. Avoid at all costs unless you want your family in danger.

Ken arrived on time on both jobs he performed at my home. He was organized and took his time to discuss what and how he was to perform the tasks. He had estimated the cost on his preliminary inspection and there were no surprises with other hidden costs. All work was completed in a timely manner and informed me as to how the progress was was going. Upon completion, he reassured me that if there were any issues that I should contact him. Very qualified and easy to work with.

Over the holidays handled a badly clogged main line. Frustrating because the clog was very far down the line, but knew what he was doing and got it done. Knowledgeable. Explained every step.

Called about a slow drain in our bathroom sink. Got back to me almost immediately--it was December 21st!-- and arranged to come later in the day. Arrived just when he said he would and fixed the problem. Noticed our tub drain ran slow as well and took care of that. Very knowledgeable on plumbing issues in our 100+ year old house. Would definitely hire him again.

Clog was not resolved and had to have a plumber come today to fix issues. Guy used a $25 home depot snake that was not strong enough and while sink drained which was not the issue the washing machine when draining caused back up because of lint Blockage. Plumber came today with professional snake and clog fixed in 15 minutes and stayed while we ran a washing machine cycle and no back up issues. Charged $225 for an issue that was not fixed correctly.

There were issues with 2 bathrooms that needed troubleshooting. Ken was patient and informed me of every step. The work needed to extend more than a single day, and he showed up on Saturday and Sunday to complete the work. His work was thorough and I would recommend to friends and family.

I had a new washing machine delivered and when they installed it the drain pipe wasn't tall enough and water was going all over the floor. I called Ken and he was there within a day to install a new pipe extension and made sure there was no leaking. Great work and solid pricing as well.

DO NOT engage business with Farina Plumbing & Heating. I have been hired many good plumbers throughout years for my office/home in Montville and Parsippany. Farina Plumbing is number 1 from the the bottom of the list due to unprofessional manner. Ken the owner of business was rushing to finish the job without concern the finish touch of his workmanship in order to get to the next job on time. The biggest problem is Ken's words can NOT be trust despite he repeatedly offer the customer one year warrant coverage service. I am sorry for anyone experience the same consequence as mine by allow Ken enter your office or residence.

Ken does great work and is extremely responsive. He called within minutes of the HomeAdvisor submission and was on site in a couple of hours to work out solution. He showed promptly to complete the repair and did so in a very reasonable amount of time considering the work, and we are very pleased with the outcome. I believe this was an expensive repair however. The reason for three stars on value is we paid $925 to have a Delta Monitor series 13/14 shower valve installed. The work included cutting a hole in our fiberglass shower insert, removing the existing valve, and installing a goof plate and the new valve. I researched the parts, and they should have been no more than $225. That leaves $700 for three hours work plus time to pick up parts. That is a pretty good hourly rate.

Ken is very knowledgeable and meticulous in his work. I am very particular about work being done on my house and Ken met all my expectations and then some. Additionally, he keeps you informed as to the progress made on projects and is very punctual. I plan on requesting his services for future projects.
