Big River Lawn & Landscape

Big River Lawn was great, they provided weekly mowing and edge trimming for our lawn. The owner was very responsive, easy to deal with, and provided great pricing. On weeks when there wasn't much rain and the grass hardly grew, they automatically skipped and did not charge, which was really great and thoughtful. I highly recommend them.

It went great. The grass was overgrown and they cut it for a really good price. Of course I paid more because the grass was long and hadn't been cut in three weeks but they did such a great job it was worth it. I would definitely recommend these guys if you're selling your house and you want your yard to look good and have a great curb appeal The Weather guys to do your yard.

I called for an estimate of pulling a few trees in front and replacing with new plants.  Roger responded to me within hours of my call, and was very accommodating with options.  He was extremely reasonable with the pricing, and even said that he would work within my budget. My husband and I decided to hold off on the project for now. I will definitely call again for landscaping services.

We have a very large bed that runs the width of the house and another the same width on the opposite side of the driveway. These beds had become very overgrown due living on a wooded lot and compounded by some neglect. I found Roger on Angie's list,  I liked the "A" rating and by reading the reviews knew that he did the exact kind of work I was looking for. I contacted Roger by e-mail explaining what I needed, his reply came the same day and we set a day and  time for him to come and give me an estimate. Roger arrived on time, maybe a little early, he listened to what I wanted to achieve he went over what he thought the job would entail and made some suggestions. He then took measurements and told me he would have an estimate to me later that evening. I agreed to the estimate which, based on my research, was very fair and we set a date for the job. Roger and his crew were there like clockwork on the day of the job, the job was done to my complete and utter satisfaction. I will definitely use Big River Lawn and Landscaping again and will recommend them to my friends.

After I contacted Roger, he and his assistant arrived the very next day.  They were quick and did an excellent job.

The young man who worked with Roger even blower-cleaned my back deck.  I've asked them to come back on a

regular basis.

My yard was a mess, filled with leaves after 2 seasons of not doing a cleanup. Roger met me at my house, walked the property with me, and gave me a fair price. The job was completed in a timely fashion, and Roger made sure that everything was done as discussed. 100% solid guy and solid company. Professional, courteous, and fair price. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone, and will use them again.

I got him off Angie's List website. He is great. He was so nice. I just call him Roger. I've got him in my speed dial on my cellphone. We had such a bad winter. We only have a driveway that's good enough for a couple of cars. My son was parking on the lawn. When spring hit, we had brush. It was like a tractor went through the front lawn. I called Roger. I told him what was going on. He came by and looked at it and he goes, "Mary, no problem." He goes, "We're talking about couple of yards of topsoil and seed. I can do it." He charged me $175. Nobody could even freaking believe it. So Big River is tops on my list. He did a good job. He pulled out three bushes. He is like, "You've got some dips and stuff, it looks like you had some trees taken out, I'll seed it." He put in rye, fescue and Kentucky blue seeds. He was like, "It should be fine." This guy is great. Roger is my leaf man and he is my mower man.

I can't say enough about this company!    They are everything you are looking for in a professional landscaper.   They were prompt and very responsive.
Rodger is great to deal with and will answer all your questions. 
They yard look amazing!   They even took debris from under the patio table and under storage boxes.

Roger and his crew have transformed the front of our home from a garden filled with weeds to a clean, refreshing look that compliments our home.
We have a very small budget to complete the front and the area around our pool in the backyard. Roger and his crew are working around our schedule and budget and we couldn't be happier. We have found OUR landscaper!
Another very pleasant note is Roger and his crew are not only professional, but also friendly and courteous and speak English fluently.

I called Big River on Wednesday 8-27-14 at around 7:00 pm and left a message. The next morning before 8:00am Roger the owner of the company called me. I told him about the lawn mower and I needed the lawn mowed and probably some shrub trimming done. I work full time and he was kind enough to meet me at my home during my lunch hour. I was late and he still waited for me. We went over the property which is a 1/2 acre and decided what I wanted done. We decided what was going to be done and decided on a price. There were no guessing games of what the price would be - I told him what I had to spend and he said the back yard would not cost that much. He said lets see what we need to do in the front. We have an electronic fence under
ground to keep our dogs in the yard and explained to Roger just cut sapling trees flush with the ground so as not to cut the wire for the Canine fence. Needless to say the Canine fence was fine. Friday Morning Rogers crew started work and completed it by the afternoon. I can't tell you what a nice surprise it was when I drove up to my house.
All the shrubs were trimmed, leaves gone, lawn mowed and they even put my little lawn ornaments they found under the brush around so they accented the landscape. I can honestly say - you definitely get more than your monies worth and then some with Big River. I have actually called Roger back and asked him to be my mower man - I don't intend to ever mow our lawn again.
I also want to say, I got an estimate from another company and the total cost for the same work was $1,035.
In conclusion I trust and like the way Roger conducts his business - Big River is my go to company for all my landscaping needs
If I could give Roger a higher grade than an A I would.

They do what they are supposed to do and they are reasonably priced.

First, let me begin by saying in the early spring I had called over 10 different lawn and landscaping companies and NO ONE ever returned my calls. So, I gave up for a few months. Then, a few days ago I called Big River and the owner Roger called me right back and came right over to give us an estimate. He knew we were on a budget and for the time being just wanted the front yard to be cleaned up and look presentable. But, he and his team went way over our expectations. Our front yard looks a million times better than it did before I called Big River. We are definitely using Big River again for all of our yard and landscaping needs. He gave us some great ideas to enhance the front landscaping (which we will be doing in the near future) and he will also be working with us on putting pavers in our back yard. I highly recommend Big River Lawn and Landscape! They are professional, courteous and on time! So, definitely do not hesitate to call them! We will be telling our friends and neighbors all about Big River Lawn and Landscape.

It went great! Two neighbors were watching and they came over and asked about work on their property. I would definitely use them again.
