Highly recommend. They were reliable, neat, and provided the services expected.

They arrived each day as they said that they would. The crew is very dedicated, courteous, and hard working. They stayed on budget. The project did take a few weeks longer than estimated. Mostly because the permits took a bit of time of get from the Village. When we did have a concern, the crew and Murphy addressed them swiftly and professionally. Our only critisim is that the work area needed some minor clean up after they were finished. That being said, I will use them again in the future.

The price was fair, but he finished the job (he thought) and when I called him because he left the house without a second coat. I did not receive a call back. This went on for weeks and I also started to notice some peeling. He refused to come back by not returning my calls. I ran into him while he was working on someone's home and he was very nasty. I had to hire someone else to finish the job. He ended up paying for it because I took him to court and won, I got $3000 back through the court. He is very arrogant.

Murphy was very friendly when performing the estimate, but the work was very poorly performed: Grills on basement windows not painted, putty smeared on glass when repaired. A FULL ONE THIRD OF THE HOUSE FRONT RECEIVED ONLY PRIMER. The trick was that the primer was the exact color of the top coat making it difficult to tell what had been completed. Several phone calls and letters received an unenthusiastic response, but no action to repair. Six months later, the North side of the house was PEELING BADLY. More attempts to get action, including my wife seeing him by chance in the street and confronting him. She told him that if he didn't do something we would sue, he said 'go ahead, I have very deep pockets'. WE DID SUE, and got $3,000 which was spent with Rutgers to repair and repaint.

MURPHY GENERAL CONTRACTING WAS VERY COMPETITIVE IN THEIR PRICE. THEY WERE ALWAYS PUNCTUAL, BUT WE DID HAVE TO WAIT A FEW WEEKS BEFORE THEY COULD GET STARTED ON THE JOB.

OVERALL, MY EXPERIENCE WITH THIS COMPANY WAS ALRIGHT. THE WORK WAS FAIRLY GOOD AND THE PRICE WAS ABOUT AS GOOD AS ANY OTHER COMPANY. I WOULD LOOK FOR A DIFFERENT COMPANY BEFORE GOING BACK TO THEM.

THEY DID A GREAT JOB. THEY WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL, ALWAYS ON TIME, RELIABLE AND THEY DID A VERY NEAT JOB. THEY LEFT NO MESSES FOR US TO CLEAN UP.

THEY RUINED SOME OF MY BLINDS, ALSO BROKE A PIECE OF A WINDOW AND THEY DID NOT REPLACE EITHER. THEY DID NOT FINISH THE JOB. OVERALL, THE WORK THAT THEY DID DO WAS VERY SLOPPY.

THIS GUY WAS GREAT. HE IS NICE AND HE DOES MOST OF THE WORK HIMSELF. IT TOOK AWHILE FOR HIM TO COME OUT THE FIRST TIME, BUT I DIDN'T MIND BECAUSE HE WAS BOOKED FULL.

I AM HAPPY WITH THEM. I EVEN PLAN TO HAVE THEM BACK TO DO MORE WORK. THE PRICE IS FAIR. IT'S A LITTLE HIGH BECAUSE THE JOBS THEY DO ARE BIGGER. THEY DID A GREAT JOB CLEANING UP ALL OF THE MESS THEY LEFT.
