I was actually happy that he was able to come the same day I called him to clear a badly clogged drain pipe in my basement. He found the plug to reach the clog, located 5 feet off the basement floor, and removed the plug. So far, so good. After opening the pipe in my basement to get to the clogged drain the plumber went upstairs and opened the bathtub faucet and then went back to the basement and watched the black, filthy water back up and flow out the open pipe and flood my basement. He closed the bathtub faucet, walked thru the dirty water, finished clearing the clog and left the filthy flood for me to clean. It has taken me 2 hours so far just to vacuum up the flood and now I have to wash the wall, the floor, clean all of the stuff that was in that part of the basement and throw out what was destroyed. And-my formerly dry basement is now wet and smells like garbage.
