The Door Store

George is a great guy and he and his crew did a wonderful job on my installation. I have a 100 year old cottage and nothing off the shelf fits. Not a problem for this company. They rebuilt my entire door surround on the back door and found ways to make the other ones work as well. They came on time and they cleaned up You get want you pay for. I found the prices to be fair for what I purchased. And when I had a small problem with my weather stripping they were back immediately. That's something you don't get from a big box store. I felt extremely comfortable with them in my house. Very professional

The door store has a nice selection of stormdoors, good communication, excellant workmanship, and were there when they promised. I would highly recommend.

Work went well. George took the old doors away and cleaned up when he was done. The storm door leaked at the first rain and George came back and fixed the leak. It has been fine since. I would recommend  the Door Store to anyone.

.I went to the Door Store showroom, since I needed to replace my old storm door.  They were extremely helpful in selecting a storm door for the front of my house.  Also needed entry door hardware and a new mail slot.  The Door Store had the entry door hardware to match my storm door hardware, but not a mail slot.  Without hesitation they recommended a nearby hardware store and allowed me to take the entry door hardware with me to match the mail slot.  I was able to get the mail slot that matched perfectly.  The owner and installer arrived on time, and was very professional and well experienced in the installation.  It is an older home and was not an easy task.  It was completed and looked great.  He even hung my new mail box for me. All of the old materials were taken away, including the old storm door. .  I would not hesitate to recommend this company.  Outstanding work.

Overall, there were a few other unrelated issues. The installer/owner forgot to bring with him brick molding material or aluminum capping to perform the installation. He was initially very frustrated with himself for having forgotten this. He also overlooked the fact that he had not charged me for this aspect on my quote. Another siding contractor was here and he was kind enough to give him the aluminum material he needed to finish the job. He acted quite unprofessional, and frankly whined a lot about how he didn't want to do the capping job. He was begging the other contractor to do it for him, which I thought was weird since they had never met one another. I had a few minor questions about the door after the installation and tried for two weeks to call, leaving messages. The owner did finally call me back, however.
