It was a good size for the money, and they were on time and easy to deal with.

I thought John, the owner, was very creative in his suggestions. He had some great ideas. I had 3 or 4 landscapers that were a lot cheaper but he was the first one that actually gave me some ideas that really made sense. Our pool backs up into the woods and we have had issues with snakes. Basically, every landscaper that has come out here has said we'll do this and we'll do this and it was a great price. He was the first one that said to me, I think if I were you I would have the guys go on the outside of the fence and pull this landscaping back 4 more feet from the fence. It was a great suggestion. He was a bit pricey, he is not the cheapest, but he had great ideas and I was thrilled with his work.

No problems. Work was done well, done on time and within the estimated budget.

This firm and its owner are unprofessional and untrustworthy. He submitted a bill for $49,000 to my wife which, he has acknowledged was "miss-billed by mistake" in advance of completing work, which he then never completed. He gave some bogus billing for other work which "just happened" to equal the pre-payment. Detailed failures of service included the following from a letter to the contractor which were not remedied: "1) The“Holly/Lilac, etc” area on South West side of the house around the fire pit was not installed, lawn there is awful; and 1 spruce is missing. 2) Evergreen Buffer Planting of “30 trees” at $795 each ($24,000 + tax) not delivered/installed. 3) Front turning circle lawn work to date is inadequate. It needs to be dug up, properly graded and reseeded and straw and tacked. This is the most important lawn area at the house; also, here, the 4 oaks are all diseased and have stopped growing. 4) Mislocation of shrubs at entry gate. I suspect your people reversed the shrubs on each side of the brick gate pillars and have thus screened where the house name/number plate is to go!; 5) There are at least 5 dead shrubs in the beds. 6) Weak tree selection for the trees circling the drive to the garages. 7) Miscellaneous other gaps in plantings versus contract." This supplier bids low to get the work and delivers shoody plantings/installation to make a profit. Moreover, the attempted over-billing ("miss-billing") speaks for itself!
