I recently had service by this company to repair a dishwasher. The repair man pressured me to order the parts for the upcoming repair explaining to me that I could cancel the order anytime prior to installation. I was originally weary because the price was high and I was confident I could simply purchase a new appliance for fractionally more money. When I called to cancel the order the company charged me an additional 20% restocking fee. This was not disclosed other than in their digital 'terms of service' which I unknowingly signed. Now they are refusing to issue the full refund. Beware of this company!

I was quoted $400+ for this relatively simple repair. I am astounded. I could almost purchase a new dryer for that amount. Tech needs to order part, it was not immediately available, no part in his truck, another disappointment. He said he may be able to return in "a few" days to complete repair. In the meantime, I was required to give him a $200 check. Outrageous! I will NEVER use this company again. My dryer is still not fixed and I am waiting for a call to determine when they will return to complete the repair. I am beyond disappointed with this company.

The ad was a bit deceptive, as it inferred that the appliances would be moved out of their position, and cleaned behind.  They were not.  Nothing was moved out of place at all.  I have had a problem with odor in my washing machine for some time.  I have had other appliance companies come and completely take the machine apart and clean the inside drum.  The odor keeps returning, probably because I have well water, not city water, which is not chlorinated.  I have been using a product that a prior company recommended for this problem, to no avail. The Mr. Appliance ad specifically stated that they would "run cleaner through machine to assist in the removal of build-up and odor" in both the dishwasher and the washing machine.  I was glad that I had preprinted out the ad, because the serviceman did not do this.  When I asked him about it, he claimed it was not part of the package. I had to physically show him the ad to get him to agree and perform the service. This was one of the main reasons I bought this service, so I was a bit disappointed that I had to struggle to get it done.  If I had not had the preprinted ad, I do not think the serviceman would have done it.  He had to phone into the office to verify and get permission to run the cleaner, although he had the cleaning solution in the truck.  Seemed very resistant to perform that step.  |As I said, no appliance were moved away from the wall.  So no thorough cleaning was done. Just superficial vacuuming from the front, which I could easily have done myself. I thought the $149 price was good for the services that were advertised, but not for what was actually done.  |The overall visit seemed more like a fishing expedition, to look for further issues that may have led to further business for the company.  |The technician also arrived an hour late for the appointment.  I had a window between 12:00-2:00, and he did not arrive until 3:00.  No phone call until he was arriving.  I had to call the office to see where he was.  Overall, I was very disappointed in the performance and the service that I received for the money I paid.

Technician arrived about 6;45 PM. Original appt was scheduled between 8:00 AM -12:00 PM but was rescheduled between 4:00 PM-6:00 PM that same day. Upon my own investigation determined the drive belt was broken but wasn't sure if there was any other issues with the dryer.Technician determined the drive belt was the only suspect after checking any related parts that might be worn.Diagnosis took about 5 minutes. The individual Mike had 13 years + experience with numerous brands of laundery appliances. The entire service call after disassemble, assemble and final testing was completed in 45 minutes. Please note I called a number of companies but few service the Fisher & Pykel despite there excellent reputation. They are a foreign manufacturer. Yes,i would recommend them to other customers but be aware of their scheduled appointments.

I must say that I have had many service companies come out to my home recently as we just bought a fixer upper and Mr Appliance blew them all away!! The girl on the phone was so helpful and understanding I did not feel like she was trying to rush me off the phone to get to the next customer. It felt like she was almost like  a friend who really wanted to help me. Then I received an email the night before with a two hour window and a picture of who was coming to my home. (made me feel very secure) The technician arrived when they said he would and he also called when he was on his way. He was a very nice and polite man called Kim. The door bell rang and there he was standing there with a door mat and shoe covers! This was the only service company that put on shoe covers!! He set right to work after talking with me about the problem. He also put down a protective mat on my floor for his tools. After a short while he called me over and showed me exactly what was wrong with the unit. Just as the girl on the phone had taken here time with me and explained everything so did he. It was a great feeling. He gave me a quote on the Ipad he carried and did not pressure me in the slightest. He fixed the problem right away and the unit is running perfect. I was just wowed by the entire experience. I have bought cars before and not been given half of the level of service that Mr Appliance did!!! If you have a problem with your appliance call them and nobody else I always will!!
