They were very good. They service technician that came was an older gentleman and I could tell he'd been in the business for a long time. He explained things to me that I never knew before. He was able to thoroughly check the system and found a part that was going bad. I'm going to be using them again. When I called the office she said they were booked up but she was able to get me in in about 5 days.

He put my furnace in about 12 years ago. I contract him every year to do a six month clean up for the air and the heat.  It is every 6 months, the contract that I have with them. It is usually around $170 but I needed a part so it was more. I like them. I use them. They are punctual. The guy was very explanatory about the part I needed and why.

They are a good company. They are punctual, and do a good job. If I knew who to do it or evaluate it I would not call them. I have used them for about 20 years. I had them when I had another home as well. They have put in a couple new units for me.

It was such an incredibly complicated job. Some other companies didn?t even want to quote it.
They showed up on time, they honored their quote and weren?t a penny over. The guys were super nice and respectful and they were very knowledgeable.
I even asked him to recommend an electrician for me.

They came in, charged us to come in, and said we are going to need a major piece of expense. We called somebody else and they said nothing was wrong with that and it was half the price.

"I am sorry you had a negative experience with one of our technicians, we wish we would have known about this sooner. Your system was leaking water and was repairable. The technician only recommended replacing the coil due to it's age and condition, as it was over twice it's life expectancy. A coil that leaks can cause damage to the heater below, cause rust to a heat exchanger which can cause exhaust to leak out, burn out the fan motor, and short out the control board. It can also cause damage to rooms below if in an attic. Replacing the coil was a suggestion, not mandatory, and if you misunderstood what the technician said then I apologize. It states on the invoice his recommendation and hopefully he explained this. Anything can be fixed, but at what price. Sometimes it makes more sense to replace a coil then repair it, but we always give the option to repair in case a replacement is not an affordable option at the time. As far as charging to come to your home, it is standard in our industry (as with most skilled trades) to charge a service call fee / service charge. We always inform customers of this when they call. This covers the overhead of coming out to your home and covers up to 30 minutes of diagnosing the problem. My heater stopped working a few weeks ago during the night of one of our many snow storms.  I contacted Eugene Adams in the morning and they promptly sent over two very knowledgeable techs who evaluated, repaired and cleaned the heater and got it working as good as new.  They even stayed a little after the repair to do little tweaks to the heater and to make sure it was working at its optimum.  The men were very prompt and reliable, they explained everything to me and cleaned up the area after the repair (the prices were reasonable too).  Eugene Adams, Inc. is an awesome company with great employees who can get the job done.

Within one year, the unit wasn't able to keep the small house cooler than 82. We asked the technician to return and fix it, and he was unable to find a problem with the unit or his workmanship. Frustrated, we turned to an HVAC expert who was a family friend. He determined that the ductwork was allowing inadequate inflow to the unit. He also found the installer did shoddy/dangerous wiring and improperly handled the way condensation would be removed from the unit. Because the unit was a year old, we were beyond warranty and had to spend extra money to fix the problems caused by The Eugene Adams installer. Unacceptable.

Late December, it was going to be a cold winter in the Northeast and the 30 year old furnace that was in the house broke down. Called Eugene Adams. They came out at night, checked it and were willing to come back the next day to replace as the blower was burnt out and the furnace itself was dangerous. Answered all questions, were professional, they did their jobs. Furnace was replaced in about three hours. Follow up was excellent as well. Available at all times including nights. Oh, yeah, did I mention it was cold? And it was the week between Christmas and New Years? Thank you.
