The job was not done on date promised, they came a week late, didn't complete job, came back a week later to finish, never got the shower done, sent out a drunk who ended up getting fired, promised to get shower done on Wed. Jan. 9, 2019, no show, called they said that they can't do it almost a month after signing of contract, contractors complained during the whole job that they had to drive 2 hours to get to our house, I would never recommend this company to anyone and will never use them again

I wasn't too satisfied with them. They pulled up all the carpets in the house; bedroom, hallways, stairs, living room and dining room. The guy was complaining as soon he came in, but he was okay. We also helped along the way.

During the hiring process, he was extremely responsive and helpful and his price was significantly lower than other quotes I received.  He sent subcontractors to do the entire job and they did a gorgeous job on the travertine tile in my entry and the ledger stone surround on my fireplace.  I am thrilled with that aspect of the project.  Although Bill had assumed they would have to demo the existing tile when doing his initial quote, his subcontractors tiled over the existing tile, which seems to have been the best course of action.  In light of the excellent price he gave me, I didn't dispute the quote, despite them not doing the demo.  I purchased all the materials to install the tile and ledger stone.

The hardwoods did not come out quite so well.  According to the subcontractors, Bill didn't order enough wood, so I have several areas in my house where I see a multitude of short pieces.  Hardwood seams are supposed to be at least six inches apart, but I have several areas where the seams are 2-3" apart.  When Bill gave my quote, he indicated they would use underlayment to level the floor between my tile floor and the cement subfloor, since they didn't want to demo the tile.  Instead, they just slapped a threshold over the gap and the drop is noticeable.  They didn't bother to tack the carpet where it met the wood floors, so I am constantly tucking carpet back under the thresholds.  Additionally, when I paid the subcontractor at the end of the job, he called me from my bank, claiming I had insufficient funds to cover the check.  He yelled at me over the phone and was incredibly rude, even when I told him I had enough in my account to cover the check five times.  After I spoke to bank representative and cleared up the issue, his check was paid and he owed me a major apology for his sad dearth of professionalism.  Of course, the apology was not forthcoming.

Worst of all, my floors started separating within a week of installation.  The threshold they slapped over the gap between my tile and cement popped off.  Bill, who had been so responsive before the job was complete, was suddenly too busy to pick up the phone.  On the few occasions we did get him on the phone, he pawned us off on his subcontractor.  After a month of phone calls and two no-shows on the part of the subcontractor, he FINALLY showed up to fix the floors.  So far, they appear to be alright, but I'm not holding my breath.  I had a handyman come in to finish the wood in the powder room that Bill's guys were supposed to do and he said the wood was done very sloppily.

Moral of the story is that you get what you pay for.  Despite the fact that his price was much lower than local competition, I will not be hiring him again and definitely wouldn't recommend him.  The aggravation isn't worth it.

They did a great job. It was Grade A carpet at a good price. They installed it in the stairs, living, and dining room. They got the job done in one day. I liked that I didn't have to pay them until they were finished.

Bill's installer (Chris of Your Floor Guy) installed carpet but did not include metal strip that attaches it to kitchen tile, as promised. (Later said he didn't do that on purpose because Bill doesn't reimburse him.) Another employee of Chris (Rasheed) eventually showed up to replace our old strip. When he pulled it up, he severely damaged the concrete floor below and also realized that the carpet had been cut too short by Chris and would not reach any new strip that could eventually be installed. Bill first blamed us, saying we were warned of the potential damage. That was a lie. Then he tried to claim that the concrete below the rug and tile was damaged before his installer arrived. How anyone could even know that is beyond comprehension. Bill then promised that a repair would be made on several occasions but Chris kept no-showing while we took off time from work. Bill then promised to send us a check to cover only the cost of tile for our entire kitchen, which had to be retiled to stretch farther into the den, so that the tile would reach the carpet.  (Yes, that's right, we had to retile our entre kitchen, as that was cheaper and less disruptive that re-carpeting the den. At several points, Bill even said the check was in the mail when it wasn't. He finally sent a check for $160 about six weeks later, only after two media outlets kept contacting him. That amount not only did not cover the cost of the tile (about $190) but it didn't come close to the cost of the installation ($450) and the floor repair and strip installation ($85).
