About us

I have worked with other professionals for several years before starting my own company. In addition, I have taken a number of courses at The Finishing School in Long Island N.Y., learning the basics such as simple glazing and colorwashing to more advanced effects such as venetian plaster, crackle, distressing, marbeling, lusterstone, and advanced cabinetry. I have taken these techniques and experimented in my workshop to come up with colors and variations to show clients a wide range of available finishes.

Carm was professional, accomodating, and friendly. We had a consult about what we wanted. Carm did exactly what we wanted. The cabinets look great. They look like they came out of the factory.

Phenomenal kitchen island transformation that left us speechless! Carm did such an amazing job painting and glazing our dark cherry kitchen island with a lot of panels, drawers, ornate details etc. The island now matches the rest of the kitchen cabinets that are off-white. What a transformation! Beautifully done! Carm is an artist, very talented, true-pro and has a terrific personality! Thank you again Carm! We look forward to future projects, K

It went extremely well. We are very pleased. Our kitchen looks like new. Carm is a perfectionist and took care of every step of the process. He added molding to the bottom of the cabinets and shadow boxes to the sides. It looks beautiful. Carm and his workers were very nice and professional. I would definitely recommend Carm Interiors!

I hired Carm Interiors to paint my old, dated 1980's kitchen after I replaced the appliances, countertop, and backsplash. I received my estimate and gave him the "go ahead' on April 4th and they started the job on May 22nd. They are very popular so plan your job accordingly...but it's worth the wait. On the first day, Carm and Chip removed the doors and took them back to the shop to be cleaned, sanded, and painted. Then they primed and painted the cabinet frames. They returned the doors about a week later, added the new hinges and cabinet pulls I gave them, and put everything back together. The final step was painting the kitchen walls. I'm very pleased with my 'new' kitchen at a fraction of the cost of a total remodel. I highly recommend Carm Interiors. They did a beautiful job. I added pictures of the old and new kitchen. You won't have any trouble distinguishing between old versus new!

The whole process went exceptionally smooth. Carm and his team came in and removed the door faces and drawers. They were taken to his shop for painting. The cabinet exteriors were primed (2x) and then painted (2x) with the paint of my choosing. They also added accent molding around the cabinets. I have a new kitchen! Very professional, very responsive. The whole process took about 1 week. They returned and installed the doors and drawers and used new hinges that I provided.

Carm was great we went over all my options and he left me with some samples. I discussed our meeting with my husband and we hired Carm for the job. He is scheduled to start on Jan. 11 2016. I am in the process of a kitchen remodel and Carm is the last piece of the puzzle. I will write a report after the job is completed .

I can't believe they turned out this good!  The way they paint these is different than what you'd expect and greatly resembles a factory finish.  It doesn't look like the cabinets were painted and all of the grain is still present - there is no way you could paint them yourself and have this kind of a result, and that's coming from someone who is very handy.  What an amazing difference and so well worth the money.  Pro tip: Carm really, really, really likes Diet Coke so it's a good idea to have some on hand :-)

Working with Carm & his team was a pleasure. All associates were friendly and professional, and the work completed is great. Our kitchen looks as though we had brand new cabinets installed, when in fact, they are just painted! Best decision we made was to avoid an entire kitchen renovation and have Carm work his magic on the cabinets! We have gotten tons of compliments and couldn't be happier!

Carm Interiors was great. He was amazing and did a great job. He was very professional and very fair, in price. He was very, very reasonable, compared to other companies. He was several thousand dollars less than another estimate I got. My cabinets look brand new. He was very professional and gave great service.

Working with Carm Interiors was a wonderful experience.  The results are spectacular!  I told him that I liked an old world charm in my kitchen,  and that is exactly what he gave me.  I bought new handles, which Carmen attached to the doors.  My husband and I feel like we are in a new kitchen.

He did a fantastic job,  and I would recommend him very highly to family, friends and anyone else.   He has a unique craft to offer.

. the process was slow only because of the weather,it rained almost eveyday for the last week and a half.-many coats of paint and sealer was applied and each had to dry properly so therefore the drying process was very slow.carm explained this problem to us and we were patient-it payed off. his men and he were patient and cheerful, they did all that they said they would do-no surprises.the last night.
they touched up the walls and cleaned up to our satisfaction.
we are very pleased with the finished product.

The job was estimated at 8 days and it took a month; he didn't start until after 10:30 and left before 3 pm.   They were not well organized, didn't follow the agreed-upon plan.  And there was too much use of the word "oops!".  They were sloppy and unprofessional.  The finish product in most rooms was not up to par and had to be re-done after our complaint.

Overall, Carm and Joe, as well as the other guys involved in the makeover, were very professional and did meticulous work. I have gotten nothing but positive feedback from everyone who has seen the completed kitchen cabinets and walls, especially those who had seen the room before the work was done.
I would advise anyone who is thinking about buying new cabinets to consider having the doors replaced and some crown molding installed instead. As long as the original boxes are in decent shape, new doors, molding, and new trim and paint can make a huge difference. And Carm Interiors can do it better and faster for a much more reasonable price than Sears or the big-box stores.

I won’t recommend them because I didn’t like the quick job that they did. After they were done I found that they didn’t clean up very well, and they hadn’t covered up before painting because I found paint on top of my refrigerator and things like that. They did a decent job, but not an excellent job, and they were on time.

I had received an estimate from a major restoration company for updating my kitchen with new drawer fronts, cabinet doors and counters. The price was outrageous for my very small kitchen and since I'm not staying here I was not willing to spend that amount. I did use them for the counters, but Carmen gave me the option of replacing the doors/fronts and painting everything, at a substantially lower cost. He had a colleague that supplied the wood doors and fronts and Carmen added his talent to the rest. The result is a new kitchen that looks great for not a lot of money.

Carmen and his assistant did a great job starting with taping and patching multiple stress cracks in the ceiling that ran from the kitchen to the family room.  They applied multiple coats of joint compound, sanded the areas for smoothness, and applied two coats of ceiling paint.  The work was performed over threes mornings to give the joint compound time to properly dry between applications.  Throughout the process the working area was cleaned each time. To boot, they were good guys.

Carmen showed up on time, performed the job proffessionally and created a new, custom look for my kitchen.  The cabinets look perfect.  He removed the original grain from the wood and amazingly left no brush strokes.  No one could ever tell that the cabinets were painted.  The cabinets look Incredible.

Carm gave me an estimate for the labor, advising he only uses Benjamin Moore paint due to the quality.  So I picked out the colors and he purchased the paint.  Carm estimated 6 gals would be needed, but only needed 5 gals.  I really appreciated his honesty as he could have charged me for 6 and I would not have known the difference. He gave me options for dates for the project, one worked better for me so we scheduled. He contacted me when he was on his way.  As I work at home, he kept the noise to a minimum, keeping me in the loop for optional decisions. He completed each day in about 5 hours.
