Joe and Team at Village Sweep perform high quality work and are a pleasure to work with. They cleaned my chimney, replaced a rusted chase cover and patched my firebox. Their prices are very competitive and I would recommend them if you need a chimney professional.

Excellent services were provided. By the end of both jobs, my husband and I knew a lot more about the status of our own chimney, and how to take care of owning a fireplace for the first time. Lots of advice was given, and there was great workmanship. We will use this company in the future.

Told us we needed a second level inspection which costs another several hundred dollars. Called another company with whom I have worked to get a second opinion. Before I could tell the workers that the chimney had already been cleaned, they had started to clean again. I told them that the chimney had been cleaned just the day before and they were very surprised and showed me all of the evidence that it hadn't been cleaned thoroughly. Mind you, they weren't charging me for the cleaning (we had asked them to fix other problems they found). I called Joe at Village Sweep to say that I was not happy with having paid so much (found out after the fact from many other people that $225 is very high for a cleaning) for a service that wasn't performed fully. He was very defensive and just sought to discredit the other service provider. I am not only unhappy with the service provided but with the customer service response to my dissatisfaction.

We stand behind our work and services and only recommend what we professionally feel is necessary for not only the chimney cleanings, but also safety. This is where we would recommend a level 2 inspection. Our employees are properly trained, skilled, and extremely honest so it is a shame to see such a review that discounts our integrity. Our pricing has been in place for years as this is an established chimney sweep business dating over 30 years, and our reputation and experience in the field warrant the prices we have established. Our deepest apologies go out to you for your dissaproval and hope this explanation finds you well."

I appreciate the fact that Jerry and Joe called me to let me know they were running maybe 10 minutes from their previous appointment. When they arrived, they made sure to lay down canvas tarps around the areas they were working on. They also put on protective covering on their shoes so as not to track soot around. They were patient and answered my questions in as much detail as possible. I will be using them to remediate the problem areas they've identified.
